   Marielly L. Martinez, 31, of Toms River, was charged with driving while intoxicated after a police officer observed her 2000 silver Saturn speeding and swerving on Route 206 at 2:20 a.m. on Sept. 30, police said.
   The officer detected the odor of alcohol on Ms. Martinez, who then failed the field sobriety test, police said. At the station, Ms. Martinez’s blood alcohol level tested at 0.18 percent. New Jersey laws says a 0.08 BAC is intoxicated.
   Ms. Martinez was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain the lane, and speeding.

   The owner of Happy Heart Daycare on New Amwell Road reported that a second-floor window on the south side of the building was shot with a BB gun overnight on Sept. 28.
   Three BBs penetrated the mesh screen and the first pane of glass, ricocheting off the second pane. The owner estimated the cost of replacing the window to be $400.

   David Thompson, 20, of Wyckoff Road, and Daniel L. Arango, 21, of Vliet Drive, were charged with being under the influence of marijuana after police responded to a report of a suspicious 2006 white Dodge pickup parked in the cul-de-sac on Fellen Place at 8:24 p.m. on Oct. 9.
   As the police vehicle approached, the truck began to pull away. The officer stopped the vehicle and detected the odor of marijuana, police said. The officer then asked Mr. Thompson, who was driving, if he could search the vehicle.
   The officer found a small black chest under the passenger seat with a Ziploc bag containing what appeared to be marijuana and two tan-colored pills inside, and drug paraphernalia.
   Mr. Thompson was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance in a motor vehicle.
   Mr. Arango was charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance.

   Andrew Coyte, 29, of Old Bridge, was charged with driving while intoxicated after an officer stopped his 2003 black Ford driving without the headlights on at 9:25 p.m. on Sept. 30.
   Police stopped Mr. Coyte on Route 206 and detected the odor of alcohol, police said. Mr. Coyte failed the field sobriety test and registered a blood alcohol content of 0.09 at the police station, police said.
   Mr. Coyte was transported to the station where his blood alcohol level was determined to be 0.09 percent.

   Justin Borealo, 19, of Dorset Court, was charged with being under the influence of narcotics after police responded to a report from a video store customer concerning an employee who had passed out at Hollywood Video on Falcon Road at 9:02 p.m. on Sept. 29.
   The officer observed track marks on Mr. Borealo’s arms consistent with heroin use while speaking with him. Police said Mr. Borealo told the officer he was in rehab for heroin and that he had done seven folds of heroin the night before and had done another before he came to work.
   The officer observed Mr. Borealo’s pupils to be constricted and a hypodermic needle lying on the desk next to his lunch. When a co-worker arrived, the Rescue Squad transported Mr. Borealo to Somerset Medical Center.
   Mr. Borealo was charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic needle.

   Stephen Monte, 41, of Pierson Drive, and Robert S. Seals, 40, of Philadelphia, were charged with criminal mischief after a road rage altercation involving baseballs and bats at the intersection of Falcon Road and Opie Road at 9:23 a.m. on Sept. 30.
   Police said Mr. Seals told them that he had gotten into a verbal argument with Mr. Monte at Dunkin’ Donuts in the Hillsborough Promenade when his 1995 gold Chevy Tahoe and Mr. Monte’s 1983 brown Mercedes nearly got in an accident.
   Police said Mr. Seals told them that Mr. Monte followed him to the intersection of Falcon Road and Opie Road and began screaming and throwing baseballs. Mr. Seals said he got out of the vehicle and struck Mr. Monte’s vehicle three times with a baseball bat.
   The officer observed Mr. Seals rear windshield was smashed and estimated the damage to be less than $300.
   Police said Mr. Monte’s version of events was that Mr. Seals had nearly backed into him at the Dunkin’ Donuts, so he beeped his horn. Mr. Monte told police that Mr. Seals started screaming and left the parking lot. Mr. Monte said he turned east on Falcon Road to go to a colleague’s house.
   Mr. Monte told police he pulled up behind Mr. Seals at the red light at the intersection of Falcon Road and Opie Road with a car-length of space, but Mr. Seals jumped from his car and began to strike the hood and windshield with a baseball bat. Mr. Monte got out of the vehicle to avoid shards of glass, he told police, and threw a baseball from his trunk in self-defense.
   The officer estimated the damage to Mr. Monte’s car at over $500.
   An off-duty Plainsboro police officer who had followed Mr. Seals after witnessing him hitting Mr. Monte’s car before Mr. Seals’ rear windshield was smashed, police said. The off-duty officer saw Mr. Seals throw something under a tarp on the property.
   The Hillsborough officer found a Ziploc bag containing what appeared to be marijuana under the tarp. Mr. Seals was charged with criminal mischief, and possession of marijuana. Mr. Monte was charged with criminal mischief.
