Rose Zappoli, 73, of Monroe, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, at home.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived there most of her life, moving to Rossmoor in December 2001. She worked as a secretary in New York City for several years. Upon moving to Rossmoor she became active in many groups, organizations and sports clubs. She was a member of the Rossmoor Community Church.
She is survived by two brothers, Massimo Zappoli of Utah, formerly of Staten Island, N.Y., and Anthony of Brooklyn; one sister, Ann Restivo of New Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held Friday, Oct. 13, from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Township. Interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn. As per Ms. Zappoli’s wishes, there will be no visitation or formal funeral service.
