William James Bain, 89, of Fairfield Glade, Tenn., died Monday, Oct. 9, in Crossville, Tenn.
Born on Jan. 3, 1917 in Bridgeport, Conn., he lived in Cranbury from 1982 until 1999 before moving to Tennessee.
Mr. Bain retired as Vice President of Peabody & Wind (a mechanical engineering firm in Philadelphia). He was a Past Grand Patron of Grand Chapter of OES of New Jersey and a member of the Morning Star Chapter No. 22, Past District Deputy Grand Master of Grand Lodge of New Jersey and a member of the Hightstown Apollo Lodge of New Jersey, and a 33rd Degree member of the Valley of Central Jersey-Scottish Rite and a Crescent Temple Shriner of Burlington.
His parents, William Charles and Catherina Hill Bain, son, Dennis W. Bain, and brothers, Duncan and Clyde Bain, are deceased. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Davison Bain; one daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie B. and James H. Dunbar of Adairsville, Ga.; one step-son and his wife, Michael A. and Bebe Brusky of Bridgewater; and a daughter-in-law, Victoria S. Bain of East Windsor; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews.
Private Graveside Services were held at the convenience of the family in Brainerd Cemetery, Cranbury.
