All through this week, Palmer Square is presenting Fashion Week for the second consecutive year. Select Palmer Square shops are hosting free trunk shows and special promotions, all leading up to the week’s highlight a fashion show, which will take place on Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m., at the Nassau Inn.
The Nassau Inn’s Prince William Ballroom will come alive as models hit the runway wearing the latest trends from shops on Palmer Square. Set to the hip sounds compiled by DJ Nim Ben-reuven, the schedule for the show is broken into themed segments, so attendees should feel free to come and spend the day or to stop in for just the segment they would most enjoy.
"Creating happenings during the week allows stores to do something special to draw in loyal and new customers, while the fashion show is the ultimate showcase of all the square has to offer hopefully prompting people to make purchases based on what they just saw on the runway," said Anita Fresolone, marketing director for Palmer Square Management.
There will be "fabulous" give-aways throughout the day and light refreshments will be served, Ms. Fresolone said.
The show will also serve as a clothing drive to support the charity Dress for Success. Attendees are encouraged to bring their gently used suits and business attire to the fashion show to donate to the cause. The mission of Dress for Success is to advance low-income women’s economic and social development and to encourage self-sufficiency through career development.
