A woman was injured Oct 16 at 5:47 p.m. during a two-vehicle crash at Route 29 and Weeden Street.
Police said James Townley, 57, of Wyckoff, N.J., was going south on Route 29 and turned left to try to make a U-turn from the slow lane. He struck the right rear of a vehicle also going south in the fast lane and driven by Michaelle Baffuto, 24, of Lawrenceville, N.J.
The impact caused Ms. Baffuto to lose control of her vehicle. It flipped over on its roof. Ms. Baffuto was trapped in her vehicle and had to be extricated by the Lambertville-New Hope Ambulance and Rescue Squad, police said.
Ms. Baffuto had head and facial area injuries and was airlifted to Capital Health Systems at Fuld trauma center in Trenton.
Lambertville police were assisted by West Amwell police.
Mr. Townley was charged with careless driving.
Oct. 15 at 1:48 a.m., Shannon L. Lingerfield, 29, of Lambertville was charged with drunken driving.
Ms. Lingerfield was stopped on Mt. Hope Street for obstruction of traffic.
She also was charged with reckless driving and released without bail.
Oct. 16 at 7 p.m., Chad Scheetz of North Union Street reported someone had scratched the doors of his 2004 Ford truck.
Oct. 16 8:30 p.m., Wayne Housel, an employee of Laundro-Land on North Main Street reported someone threw something against a window, shattering it.
He said he saw two people running west on Coryell Street.
Oct. 17 at 3 a.m., John D. Studnicki, 24, of Flemington was charged with drunken driving.
Police said Mr. Studnicki was driving on Bridge Street with on the rims of two flat tires. He was stopped on Bridge Street near Gordon’s Alley.
He told police he hit a curb in New Hope, police said.
He also was charged with driving an unsafe vehicle and reckless driving and released without bail.
Sunday at 11 a.m., Picky Paws employee Catherine Losch reported someone stole a wooden bench from in front of the store on Church Street.
The bench is 6-feet long, light in color with two Picky Paws stickers on it. It is valued at $200.
Benjamin A. Storck, 37, of San Francisco was charged with drunken driving.
Police said Mr. Storck was driving around in circles in the parking lot of Rago Auctions on North Main Street.
He also was charged with refusal to submit to a Breathalyzer test and failure to exhibit a vehicle registration and was released without bail.
Charles Renfro, 36, of Doylestown was charged with drunken driving Sept. 30 after the vehicle he was driving was involved in a two-vehicle accident at West Ferry Street and Stockton Avenue at 7:10 p.m.
Wayne Zielke, 21, of Warminster, Pa., was charged Oct. 23 with false reports to law enforcement authorities and driving while his operating privilege was suspended following an investigation into his claim his vehicle had been stolen from South Main Street on Sept. 16.
