Kenneth G. Ingebrand, 87, of Monmouth Junction, formerly of Clearwater, Fla., died Wednesday, Oct. 18, at the home of his daughter in Monmouth Junction.
Born in New Brunswick, he resided in Plainsboro over 30 years before moving to Clearwater, Fla. in 1986. He returned to New Jersey six months ago to live with his daughter and son-in-law in their Monmouth Junction home.
He retired from PSE&G in Edison as a plumber/pipefitter after 38 years with the company. Mr. Ingebrand was a member of Public Utility Construction and Gas Appliance Workers of New Jersey Union Local 855 for more than 50 years.
Mr. Ingebrand was an Air Force veteran of World War II, serving continuous active duty with the 475th Air Force Group from 1942 to 1946. He was awarded the American Service Medal, European/African Middle Eastern Service Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. In his leisure time, he owned and operated Ingebrand Plantation Christmas Tree Farm and enjoyed building circus train models.
His son, Raymond, is deceased. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Dorothy Ingebrand; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Lindsay Robbins of Elkton, Md., and Ingrid and Del Andrews of Monmouth Junction; granddaughters, Laura Lee Eskaros, Stephanie Kollar, Taryn Andrews and Kelly Andrews; and his grandson, Raymond Ingebrand Jr.
Private memorial services are under the direction of the A.S. Cole Son & Co. Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Cranbury. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Ingebrand’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 846 Main St., Fords, N.J. 08863.
