BORDENTOWN CITY
Police said James Hatcher, 24, of Crosswicks, was seen on the corner of Second and Crosswicks streets at 8:15 a.m. on Oct. 17, by a member of the Bordentown City Crime Watch who knew that he had an outstanding warrant. Police said he had a warrant out of Beverly City for obstruction, and that he was found to possess marijuana. He was released pending a November court date.
Police Commissioner James E. Lynch Jr. and Chief Matthew Simmons announced Tuesday that Lt. Steve Mains has been promoted to captain. Capt. Mains has been on the Bordentown City police force for over 20 years, transferring from the Burlington County Sheriff’s Department. His current assignments will slightly change to fit his new position. He will continue to manage the patrol division, as well as taking on additional administrative duties to fit the need of the agency and community.
