Hopewell Valley’s new Veterans Park will be the site of a Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. Nov. 11.
An area veteran from each branch of the armed services will speak at the event.
"It will be a ceremony to remember and pay tribute to those who have served our country in the military," said township resident and Air Force veteran Sevy Di Cocco.
"We encourage all veterans and residents to attend."
Mr. Di Cocco is a member of the Valleywide veterans committee that planned and is overseeing the ongoing construction of the new Veterans Park.
Those who do attend should bring a chair, Mr. Di Cocco said. Signs will be posted telling visitors where to park.
There will be a reception in the township’s municipal auditorium following the ceremony. The auditorium is in the municipal building, Pennington-Washington Crossing Road (Route 546) and Scotch Road, and just east of Veterans Park.
The park itself is located just west of the township’s Public Works Building, also on Route 546.
