HomeFront appeals for ball gowns

November 10 will be a very special day for more than 100 formerly homeless parents, most of them mothers, as they celebrate their successful return to independence.
After many months of learning the skills and acquiring the tools which will enable them to provide their children with a safe, secure and permanent home, they will be the guests of honor at a special formal evening in their honor. Guest speaker will be Assemblywoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-Ewing).
"These parents have worked hard to overcome a lot of adversity in their lives, and we would like to reward their efforts by hosting a formal dinner and awards ceremony at our Family Preservation Center," said Ernest Stafford, HomeFront case manager.
Mr. Stafford is once again calling on the community for help. Sizes 14-24 are especially needed, but all sizes are welcome. He points out that a gown that may be hanging in the back of a closet will make another women feel like a princess.
Dresses may be dropped off at HomeFront at 1880 Princeton Ave. in Lawrence. HomeFront can be reached by calling (609) 989-9417 or by visiting www.homefrontnj.org. Donations of any kind are always needed and always welcomed.
