Doris Jankovic

   ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Doris Jankovic, 78 of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Monday at home under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast.
   Born in Hightstown, she moved to St. Petersburg in 1984 from East Windsor, where she was co-owner with her husband of Milo’s Auto Body and owner of Milo’s Ceramics. She was a homemaker and Presbyterian. She was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and NASCAR fan.
   Preceded in death by husband Milos Jankovic and son Danny Jankovic, she is survived by sons Miles Jankovic and Bobby Jankovic, both of St, Petersburg; daughters Bernice Mazzeo of Trenton, Deanna VanHise, Janet Barry and Susie Freeman, all of St. Petersburg, and Debbie Barry of Pinellas Park, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
   Funeral services were held at the Gee & Sorensen Funeral Home.
   Interment followed at Royal Palm North Cemetery, St. Petersburg.
Joao G. de Paixao

   FAIRHAVEN, Mass. — Joao G. da Paixao, 76, a longtime resident of Fairhaven, Mass., died Monday at his daughter’s home in East Windsor.
   Born near Cruz Alta, Brazil, Mr. da Paixao was one of nine children of the late Joaquim and Rosa da Paixao. He was a graduate of Pontificia Universidade in Catolicin, Porto Alegre, Brazil, and held degrees in accounting and economics. Mr. da Paixao retired in 1989 after 30 years from Lawrence Lynch Corp., Falmouth, Mass.
   He is survived by his wife, Hilda Keller da Paixao; four children, Airton da Paixao and lone da Paixao Lopes of Fairhaven, Mass., Liane da Paixao-llla of East Windsor and Alinne Nunes of Taquara, Brazil; six grandchildren, Robson de Oliveira II, Monica Casal da Paixao, Marcus and Julian da Paixao Lopes, Jailinne Nunes and John Baldwin da Paixao; four great-grandchildren Skyla, Malachi, Jazel, and Gabriel; sister Maria Pinto; and brothers Aristotoles and Piragibe da Paixao; and several nieces and nephews.
   A Celebration of Life service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday at the Seekonk Portuguese Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 781 Newman Ave., Seekonk, Mass.
   Arrangements are being handled by the Brenna Funeral Home, Trenton.
Sara M. Bullock

   FLEMINGTON — Sara M. Bullock, 86, died Tuesday at Hunterdon Care Center, Flemington.
   Born in Allentown, she lived in Upper Freehold Township most of her life before moving to Meadow Lakes in Hightstown and then Flemington four months ago.
   She was the deputy tax collector for Upper Freehold Township for 12 years and she and her husband operated Mulberry Hill Farm in Imlaystown for 26 years. She also was a member of the Upper Freehold Baptist Church.
   Wife of the late Charles S. Bullock, she is survived by her son, Douglas Bullock and his wife, Juliaette, of Flemington; grandchildren Scott and Julie Bullock; brother Nelson Maginnis of Hamilton; sister-in-law Lorraine Bullock of Cream Ridge; two brothers-in-law, Norman Bullock and his wife, Gail, of Allentown and Roger Bullock of Cream Ridge; as well as many nieces and nephews.
   Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown, with the Rev. F. Staton Bentley Jr. officiating.
   Interment will follow in Allentown Methodist Cemetery.
Albert Cliffe

   AUSTIN, Texas — Albert Cliffe, 65, died Wednesday at home in Austin, Texas.
   Born in Cranbury, he grew up in the Hightstown area and graduated from Hightstown High School and Rutgers University.
   At Rutgers he was instrumental in starting the first Rutgers ice hockey team and was a member of that team. He also pursued his love of the drums, as an accomplished musician. He received his law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law in Dallas. He traveled extensively and lived in Hawaii, where he learned to fly, sail and was able to take advantage of his love for surfing.
   Mr. Cliffe sailed in a two-man sailboat from Hawaii to Seattle. In 1976, he was in a motorcycle accident in Corpus Christi, Texas. He spent his last 30 years as a quadriplegic. He spent time after his accident writing novels and articles and was an avid sports fan. His articles about sailing were published in Cruising World Magazine.
   He is survived by sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Russell Beaulieu of Cranbury; sister Phyllis Mount of Northampton, Mass.; and niece Amy Mansue of Hightstown.
