A Princeton Borough two-bedroom low-income apartment is available for sale, a borough one-bedroom moderate-income apartment is available for rent and three new moderate-income one-bedroom apartments are available to rent in the Blawenburg area of Montgomery Township, according to the Somerset County Coalition on Affordable Housing, which is administering the affordable-housing program.
Applicants must meet income and a number of other requirements in order to qualify to purchase or rent the units.
The two-bedroom low-income Princeton Borough apartment is located on Hamilton Avenue and the maximum resale price has been set at $51,523. Maintenance fees are $125 a month. A minimum of two people and a maximum of four may live in the 812-square-foot unit. Low income for a two-person household is defined by the guidelines as a maximum income of $33,081.
The rent for the one-bedroom 477-square-foot moderate-income borough rental unit, located on Vandeventer Avenue, has been set at $884 with the landlord paying utilities. Occupancy is limited to one person with an income of no more than $46,312.
The three moderate-income one-bedroom units in Blawenburg Village Square in Montgomery range from 641 to 837 square feet and monthly rents range from $900 to $955 without utilities. They are restricted to no more than two people. Moderate income for a two-person household in Somerset County is no more than $61,312.
