West Windsor-Plainsboro students to hold coat drive Saturday

Fourth- and fifth-grade students at West Windsor-Plainsboro’s Millstone River and Village Elementary schools are banding together to "lend a hand (and) warm a heart."
On Saturday, the students will hold a coat drive at the Millstone River School from 9 a.m. to noon to collect clean, gently worn coats and jackets as well as new gloves, mittens and hats. The donated items will go to families who are served by Martin House in Trenton.
The coat drive coincides with national "Make a Difference Day," and also corresponds to the schools’ "citizenship" theme for October.
Students will hang posters at the schools and around town to generate participation in the event and remind residents of their motto, "Lend a Hand, Warm a Heart."
