John C. Tindall
WHITING John C. Tindall, 80, died Sunday at Community Medical Center, Toms River.
Born in Windsor, Mr. Tindall was a lifelong area resident, living in Allentown before moving to Whiting in 2004.
Mr. Tindall served in the U.S. Army from 1944 until 1947 and was stationed in the Philippines. He began his long working career as a truck driver and then as a salesman for Yardville Supply Co. In 1963 he joined his brother Frank as co-owner of Tindall Pool Service. When the business was sold in 1987, Mr. Tindall continued in business as Tindall Construction until his retirement.
Mr. Tindall was an active member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Allentown for many years. At various times he was a member of the Lions Club, the DAV, and the Holy Name Society and served on the Allentown Municipal Planning Board.
Son of the late Ambrose and Mary Tindall, he was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Matilda L. Schwing Tindall, five brothers and two sisters, Reba Tindall, Charles (Art), Elsie Patterson, Ambrose (Andy), Frank, Marvin (Whitey) and Norris. He is survived by five children and their spouses, Mary Chrzanowski, John Jr. and Yolanda Tindall, Doris and Thomas Church, Carl and Terryl Tindall and Peter and Sharon Tindall; three sisters, Pearl Busch of Robbinsville, Mabel Stine of Mercerville, Eleanor Pullen of Bordentown and June Curlis of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. today, Thursday, at St. John’s Church, 1282 Yardville Road, Allentown.
Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

E. Marie (Miller) Doonan
COLUMBUS E. Marie (Miller) Doonan, 85, died Saturday at her home.
She was born in Philadelphia and resided most of her life in the Burlington County area. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening and doing volunteer and charity work.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Martina Cody, Margaret Bosch and Myrna Carroll, and an uncle, the Rev. Thomas J. Higgins, S.J., who was the former president of St. Joseph’s Prep and College. Wife of the late William P. Doonan, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas J. and Yvonne M. Doonan of Kannapolis, N.C. and David J. and Judy Doonan of Greenwich, N.Y.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Pauline M. and Matthew J. McGinniss of San Diego, Calif., Hope M. Doonan of Willingboro and Grace M. and Keith A. Fennimore of Columbus; a sister, Helen O’Hara of Lafayette Hill, PA; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday in St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown.
Interment followed in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

John A. Nelson Jr.
HAMILTON SQUARE John "Jack" A. Nelson Jr., 74, died Friday at his residence.
Born in Trenton, Mr. Nelson was a longtime Trenton area resident, and a graduate of Trenton Catholic High School, Class of 1950. He had been a resident of Hamilton Square since 1977.
He was an insurance adjuster for INA Insurance Company, Farmers Reliance and Uniguard for 20 years. He finished his working career at the Mercer County Probation Department, retiring in 1999. He was an avid history buff, and also enjoyed old cars and ballroom dancing.
Predeceased by his parents, John A. and Mary (Schneider) Nelson, he is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Dorothy Gnandt Nelson; his children, John "Jack" A. Nelson III and his wife Mary Rose of Yardville, Raymond McNulty of Orlando, Fla., Deanna Lynn Nelson of Bordentown, and Janet Warner and her husband Joseph of Fla.; his grandchildren, Erin Colleen, John A. IV, and Caitlin Grace Nelson, and Kristopher M. Colvin; two sisters-in-law, Pat Tessein and her husband Kerry, and Kathy Ayres and her husband Skip; a brother-in-law, John Gnandt and his wife Kathy; two cousins; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will begin 10 a.m. Thursday at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. from St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.
Interment followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
Marie Neblett
BORDENTOWN Marie Neblett, 71, of Bordentown Township, died Friday from the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
She was born in Beverly and had resided most of her life in Burlington County. She had retired from Bell-Atlantic where she had over 40 years of service. She was active in Shadyrest Bible Church and the Golden Rays Club and was also a life member of the Telecom Pioneers.
She is survived by her husband, John M. Neblett; three daughters and a son-in-law, Darlene and Bill Dyson of Cape Coral, Fla., Cindy Babcock of Sacramento, Calif. and Lisa Clark of Eugene, Ore.; a brother, Billy Lucas of Burlington; a sister, Sally Oxx of Md.; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Cassandra, Justin, Darla Rae, Billie, Cory and Rachael; five great-grandchildren, Savannah, Brandon, Trenton, Billie and May Marie; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. today, Thursday, from Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Ruth O. Gadson
BORDENTOWN Ruth O. Gadson (nee Smith) 80, died at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Crosswicks, she had lived in Ewing Township before moving to Bordentown over 20 years ago. She was a graduate of MacFarland High School of Bordentown and attended Rider College. She was an executive secretary for the Manual Training School of Bordentown, had worked for the Mercer County Medical Examiners Office and was a senior supervisor for the DMV of Trenton. She was an alumni of the Manual Training School and a member and Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Trenton.
Daughter of the late Walter and Hannah Smith (nee Harvey), mother of the late Alan Gene Gadson and sister of the late Alice S. Vaughn, she is survived by her daughter, Karen Gadson of Calif.; ex-husband, Eugene Gadson; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard F. and Jean V. Smith of Crosswicks; a sister, Helen J. Allen of Bordentown, with whom she resided; a nephew, Brian Vaughn of Lawrenceville; and Tiffany, the family pet.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown.
Interment followed in Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville.
George Bellan
CHESTERFIELD George "Bam" Bellan died Thursday at his residence.
Born in Trenton, Mr. Bellan was a lifelong area resident. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was the former owner operator of Weidel Supply Company and was a local truck driver. He was a member of VFW Post 491 and the American Legion Post 26.
Son of the late John and Elizabeth Tomko Bellan and brother to the late John, Donald and Edward Bellan, he is survived by his wife of 43 years, Larraine Maksimow Bellan; four daughters and a son-in-law, Dolores and Edward Bowman of Collegeville, Pa., Caroline Bellan of Burlington, and Elizabeth and Lynn Bellan at home; a sister-in-law, Jean Bellan of Hamilton Township; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday in St. Raphael’s Church, 3500 S. Broad St.
Burial with full military honors will be in St. Mary’s of the Assumption #2 Cemetery in Hamilton Township.

Julia Murray Struble
PORT ORANGE, FLA. Julia Murray Struble, 89, of Country Side Lakes, Port Orange, Fla., died Oct. 20 after a brief stay at the Hospice of Volusia/Flagler Care Center, Port Orange.
She was born in Freehold, and was raised on her father’s farm in Millstone Township. She was married to F. Milton Murray of Hightstown, who died in 1976.
In addition to raising a family on a farm in Monroe Township, she also worked at Farmers Reliance Insurance in Trenton, Central Jersey Farmers Co-Op and Coca Cola in Hightstown. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Port Orange, Fla. and participated in the Council of Catholic Women, the Sociable Seniors and the St. Vincent DePaul Society. She enjoyed many trips with P.O.R.T., the Port Orange Senior Travel Club, and casinos.
She was predeceased by her first husband, F. Milton Murray, and second husband William Struble; her parents, George and Anna Ignas; two brothers, George and Joseph; and two sisters, Violet Ignas and Stella Sweeney, and is survived by her sons, James Murray of Fredericksburg, Va. and Lawrence Murray of Cherry Hill; five grandchildren, Larry of East Windsor, Michael of Bordentown, Jared of San Diego, Julie of Loveland, Colo. and Jesse of San Francisco; and three great-grandchildren, James and Ethan Murray and Dylan Croce.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Port Orange, Fla.

Ruth I. Wark Malsbury
PENSACOLA, FLA. Ruth Isabel Wark Malsbury died Oct. 23.
She lived in Bordentown for several years, raised her family, worked and retired from Civil Service in Fort Dix, and moved to Pensacola, Fla. in 1982. She was a member of the 1st Assembly Church for several years, and played the violin in the orchestra.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Malsbury Sr., and is survived by her daughter, Gloria Malsbury Stanford and her husband Kenneth of Pensacola, Fla.; son, Robert Malsbury Jr. and his wife Vickie of Florence; grandchildren, Kathleen Saunders of Crestview, Fla., Justin Stanford of Pensacola, Fla., Ciara Garrett of Crestview, Fla., Shannon Malsbury of Florence, and Derek Stewart of Florence.
Funeral services were held at Huber-Moore Funeral Home in Bordentown on Saturday.
