Wyoming Place resident Kenneth Parlo, 41, was found dead in his boarding house room Saturday morning, and police are still trying to learn the cause of death.
Police said Mr. Parlo lived in a rooming house and another tenant found Mr. Parlo in his residence.
Four days before Mr. Parlo died, a North Third Avenue resident reported seeing Mr. Parlo smashing pumpkins and breaking Halloween decorations, police said.
After police found him and charged him with criminal mischief, he was taken to Somerset Medical Center because he said he was hallucinating. He was later discharged.
At 9:46 a.m. Saturday Mr. Parlo was pronounced dead at his Wyoming Place residence.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
Mr. Parlo was born in Rockville Center, N.Y., raised in East North Port, Long Island, and lived in Somerville before moving to Manville this past year.
He enjoyed camping, white water rafting, fishing and gardening. Mr. Parlo often spent time watching his nieces and nephews engage in many sports activities.
Mr. Parlo’s family could not be contacted for comment before press time.
He is survived by his parents, Holly and Dominick Parlo of Neshanic Station, a sister, Kimberly Sullivan and her husband, Jeffrey; a brother, Christopher and his wife, Lisa; two nieces and four nephews.
Funeral services were scheduled for this morning (Thursday) at Van Arsdale Funeral Home in Bridgewater.
Mr. Parlo’s family asks that memorial contributions be made in his memory to the Bridgewater Soccer Association P.O. Box 6024 Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
