Edward Louis Raab, 71, of Monroe, died Monday, Oct. 23, at his home.
Born in New Brunswick, he lived in Monroe for most of his life. He was first employed as a dredge operator for Herbert Sand Co. for 21 years and then worked as a mechanic for Digital Solutions Inc. in East Brunswick for 13 years before his retirement in 1993.
His parents, Leo and Grace (Kazar) Raab; first wife, Elizabeth Ann; and his two sisters, Dorothy and Tony, are deceased. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Madeline (Cole) Raab; his seven children, Elizabeth Denise Raab of Hamilton, Robert L. and his wife, Julia, of Jackson, Debra Berg and her husband, Tony, of San Diego, Eddie of Jamesburg, Wayne A. and his wife, Terri Ann, of Jamesburg, Jason J. and his wife, Tina, of Paxinos, Pa., and Nicola D. Raab of Monroe; two brothers, Robert of Monmouth Junction, and Leonard and his wife, Bonnie, of East Brunswick; and 14 grandchildren, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Friday, Oct. 27, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe. Visitation was at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
