William M. Klimowicz

   William M. Klimowicz, 86, of Monroe, died Friday, Oct. 27, at the Francic E. Parker Nursing Home, Piscataway.
   Born in Whippany, he was raised in Bayonne where he attended elementary and vocational school. He moved to the Cottageville section of South Brunswick in 1950 with his wife and daughter. In 1993 he moved to Rossmoor in Monroe. He was a self-employed carpenter, and was most proud of building the home he and his family lived in in South Brunswick. He later became maintenance supervisor for the South Brunswick Board of Education from 1960 to his retirement in 1985. He served in the Army during World War II, and was a member of the American Legion Post 401, South Brunswick. In Rossmoor, he was a member of the Republican, Dance, Polish-American and Bocci Clubs. He was a member of St. Cecilia’s R.C. Church, Monmouth Junction.
   His wife, Helen Adamski died in 1992. Two sisters, Estelle Nerbak and Sophia Smith, also are deceased. He is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Hagerty and her huband, Stuart, of Monroe, and Kathryn Hartman and her husband, Brad, of Lenoir, N.C.; a son, William, and his wife, Julie, of South Brunswick; a sister, Helen Nerbak of Bayonne; seven grandsons, Patrick and Brian Hagerty, Jeffrey, Ryan and Kyle Hartman, and William and Michael Klimowicz; and three great-grandsons, Timothy, Coble, and Kellen Hartman.
   Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Township. Entombment followed in Holy Cross Mausoleum, South Brunswick.
