Fine art auction to benefit American Red Cross

The American Red Cross of Central New Jersey is honored to work together with one of the world’s pre-eminent portraitists, Nelson Shanks, to bring a distinctive fundraising event to Princeton.
"Evening with Maestro Nelson Shanks," a live and a silent auction of fine art featuring works of the accomplished artists of Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, will take place Sunday, Dec. 3, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Chauncey Conference Center at ETS in Lawrence.
"Our chapter is fortunate to have such an esteemed artist share his experiences and talents to benefit the work of the Red Cross within our community," said Kevin Sullivan, CEO, American Red Cross of Central New Jersey. "It should prove to be quite an interesting and exciting evening."
Among Nelson Shanks’ notable commissions are President Bill Clinton, Diana, Princess of Wales, and Pope John Paul II. Recent commissions include Luciano Pavarotti for the Metropolitan Opera, Mstislav Rostropovich for the Kennedy Center, and Denyce Graves for the National Portrait Gallery. His work has been exhibited in museums and galleries worldwide, including the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., the Royal Palace in Stockholm, Kensington Palace in London, and Fortezza Firmafede in Sarzana, Italy.
Proceeds from paintings purchased through the silent and live auction will benefit the programs and services of American Red Cross of Central New Jersey and the artists of Studio Incamminati, which Mr. Shanks founded.
