MANVILLE Charlotte C. Collins died Nov. 1 at Raritan Extended Care Center in Bridgewater. She was 77.
Born in Somerville, she was a lifelong resident of Manville.
Mrs. Collins was employed as a teacher at Drake’s Business School in Elizabeth, St. Mary’s High School in Trenton, Vineland High School and Sacred Heart School in Manville for 18 years.
She was a member of the National Education Association, Catholic Teachers Association National Retired Teachers Association and served on the Sacred Heart PTA and the Manville Youth Athletic League.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas Collins; two sons, Kevin T. of Brooklyn, N.Y., Brian of Holly Springs, N.C.; a daughter, Carol Alcorn of Westminister S.C.; a brother, Joseph Czaplicki of Manville; three sisters, Tess Menkowski of Manville, Marie Radwanski of Orange Park, Fla., and Bea Wyzkowski of Greenbrook; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Nov. 6 from Ketusky Funeral Home in Manville, followed by a Mass at Sacred Heart Church. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
Memorial donations may be made to the Somerset County SHIP Program to feed the needy.
