Georgine Greener
Georgine Gravatt Greener, 68, died Sunday at Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace, Fla. Born in Florence, she had lived in Bordentown nearly all of her life. She retired after many years as the legal secretary for the law firm of Henry B. Kessler of Bordentown. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Bordentown, was the first director of the Bordentown Youth Soccer Travel Team and loved to travel.
Daughter of the late George Gravatt, she is survived by her mother, Beatrice Gravatt (nee Green), of Bordentown; her husband, Gary J. Greener Sr., of Bordentown; a son, Gary J. Greener II of Bordentown; a daughter, Tracy Hollan of Lithia, Fla.; three grandchildren, Reagan and Logan Hollan and Jacob Greender; many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Interment will follow in Bordentown Cemetery. Edward Franklin
Hill III
BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP Edward Franklin Hill III, son of Eva Sost Hill and the late Edward F. Hill Jr., of Hamilton Township, died Saturday.
For the past 20 years, he had lived in Bordentown. A tool and die maker by trade, he had a passion for music that led him to sing in both the New Jersey Opera Festival and the Boheme Opera Company. He sang with Robert Shaw at Carnegie Hall and at Pearson Memorial United Methodist Church where, for the past 18 years, he had been the director of music. He played varsity football every year while attending Hamilton High West. He loved sports and enjoyed golf and skiing. He raised and ran dogs with the Beagle Club and enjoyed hunting bow and shotgun with his dad and his brother Gary. He also enjoyed camping with his best friends, Helen, Reo and Nick.
Motorcycles were a big part of his life. He loved being outdoors, riding on a country road, hearing the sounds and smelling the aroma of campfires and skunks. NASCAR was his other big love. He served his country in the National Guard and was on the Hazmat team at Princeton Plasma Physics Lab where he was employed for 27 years.
He is survived by his his wife, Debbie, his sister, Iris Weber; his Brother, Gary, and sister-in-law Melba Hill; and his stepchildren and grandchildren: Marianne, Jim, Jimmy, Michael and Thomas Everett; Frank, Holly and Maureen Scharibone; and Thomas and Linda Scharibone. He is survived by a son, Edward Franklin Hill IV, who kept him busy roller-blading, biking, going to science museums and in later years, attending plays. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Iris, Aldo, Aldo Jr. and Emily Tonti; Denise, Ray, MacKenzie and Samantha Leonard; and Cindy and Ted Stratis.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. today, Thursday, at Pearson Memorial United Methodist Church, at 71 Pearson Dr. in Hamilton Township. The interment will be for family members and close friends 11 a.m. Friday in Colonial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Ed’s memory to the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, P.O. Franklin G.
Campbell
FLORENCE Franklin G. Campbell, 79, of Florence, died Saturday, at Lourdes Hospital.
Born in Florence, he was a lifelong resident. He retired 14 years ago as a security guard for the state of New Jersey and was assigned to the former governor’s mansion, Morven, in Princeton and later the State Lottery Commission. Prior to this, Mr. Campbell was a bartender at the Burlington County Country Club for 25 years. He was a 66-year member of the Florence American Legion Post 194 and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was also a member of St. Clare’s Church and an avid supporter of the Florence Flashes football team.
Son of the late Herman and Helen Briggs Campbell, and brother of the late Edward, Calvin and Wayne Campbell and the later Valeria Csatari, he is survived by his wife Agnes (Dolly) Fantozzi Campbell; a daughter, Colleen Campbell of Egg Harbor City; a grandson, Kevin Hunt; and a brother, Herman Campbell of Atlantic City. His is also brother-in-law to Jane Campbell, Helen and Larry DiCioccio, Antoinette and Tony Carugno, Angelina and Joseph Russo, Josephine Piotrowski, Michael Fantozzi and the late Carmella Cipriano. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, friend and neighbors.
The funeral was held Wednesday at the Dennison Funeral Home, 214 W. Front St., Florence. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Clare’s Church, and interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Florence.
Lambert Rainier
FLORENCE Lambert Pershing Rainier, 88, of Bonita Springs, Fla., a former resident of Florence, died on Oct. 27.
Son of the late Lambert and Sarah Mabel Rainier, he was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during World War II.
He was a machinist for many years at the R.D. Wood Co. and American Engraving. He also was a part time farmer. He was a member of the Florence American Legion Post 194, Masonic Lodge 32 of Burlington and the Bordentown Elks Lodge and Bonita Springs Elks Lodge. He was a former board member of Cedar Hill Cemetery for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Iris (nee Burkhardt) of Bonita Springs, his sister, Mabel Naismith of Trenton his children and their spouses, Cheryl and Frank Fitzpatrick of Bonita Springs, Robert and Donna Rainier of North Carolina, and Keith and Gale Rainier of Beverly; his grandchildren, Troy and Nicole Fitzpatrick, Tara and Michael Milewski, Kiersten and Dan Scully, Meredith Broderick, Mattrew Rainier and Lisa Robinson; step-grandchildren, Tina and Eric Chazin; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Taylor Fitzpatrick, Sedona Scully, Rhiannon and Robert Broderick, and step-great-grandchildren, Blake and Bailey Chazin and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at Providence Presbyterian Church, Florence, on Monday. Interment was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Florence. Memorial contributions can be made to the Providence Presbyterian Church, 2087 Old York Road, Burlington, NJ 08016. Arrangements are under the direction of Dennison Funeral Home of Florence.
Frances K. Steepy
BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP Frances K. Steepy, 86, died Nov. 2 at CareOne at Ewing.
Born in Newark, she had lived in the Belmar area before moving to Trenton and finally resided in Bordentown for the last 53 years.
She retired as a supervisor for the Department of Labor, Health and Environmental Protection for the State of New Jersey.
Frances was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Bordentown, a former member of the Greenwood Avenue United Methodist Church, the Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085 Ladies Auxiliary, the Bordentown Township Senior Citizens, the Chesterfield Township Keenagers and the Cookstown Senior Citizens Young at Heart.
She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, knitting, crocheting and reading romance novels.
Daughter of the late Alfred and Florence Kaner and sister of the late Leonard Kaner and Clarice Jagger, she is survived by her husband of 54 years, Edward R. Steepy; a daughter and her partner, Beth A. Steepy and Catherine Perry of Trenton; a son, Kirk E. Steepy of Pemberton; a grandson, Liam Perry-Steepy; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, with the Rev. Thomas C. Miller officiating. Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery, Trenton.

Anita Luccarelli
Conti
TITUSVILLE – Anita Luccarelli Conti, 45, died Nov. 1 at home.
Born in Trenton, she was a Hamilton resident most of her life before moving to Titusville nine years ago. Anita was a graduate of Hamilton High West. She was a devoted wife and mother and she loved music, animals and spending time at the shore.
She was predeceased by her mother, Josephine Mazzilli Luccarelli, brother, Robert S. Luccarelli, brother-in-law, Patrick "Buster" Conti, and father and mother-in-law, Ciro and Virginia Conti. Anita is survived by her father, retired Vice Consul of Italy, Guido Luccarelli of Hamilton; her loving husband, Anthony Conti; her son, Matthew Conti; stepson and wife, Anthony Jr. and Nikki Conti of Yardville; brother, Ronald Luccarelli of Hamilton; sister and husband, Maria and Michael Rooney and son Christopher of Lumberton; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Rikki Luccarelli and daughter Annamarie of Hamilton, Mary Liz Travia of Ringoes, Cecilia Daino of Columbus, Kathleen and Walter Sleczki of Hamilton, Thomas Conti of Columbus and Mary Jane Conti of Columbus; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and beloved pets.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday at Our Lady of the Angels Parish-St. Joachim Church, 20-56 Butler St., Trenton. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.

James P. Ronan
HAMILTON TOWNSHIP – James P. Ronan, 78, died Oct. 31 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong Trenton-Hamilton resident. Mr. Ronan retired as vice principal of Grace A. Dunn School in Trenton in 1986. He also was at other various schools throughout the Trenton Public School System for over 30 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He received his master’s degree from Seton Hall University. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony’s Church and a member of NJEA. He enjoyed painting and woodworking.
Son of the late James J. and Katherine A. Dwyer Ronan, he is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rosemary Coleman Ronan of Hamilton Township; three sons, James Ronan of Manassas, Va., Thomas H. Ronan and his wife Eileen of Hamilton Township, and Robert W. Ronan and his wife Cynthia of Bordentown; two daughters, Mary Alice Phillips and her husband Francis of Levittown, Pa. and Rosemary Ronan of Hamilton Township; 11 grandchildren, Bridget and her husband Christopher, Shannon, Katherine, Patrick, Sean, Kevin, Keith, Robert Jr., Megan, Frankie and Jimmy; three great-grandchildren, Christopher, Rand, and Jayne; two brothers, John J. Ronan of Phoenix, Ariz. and Msgr. Hugh F. Ronan of the Trenton Diocese; two sisters, Sister Mary McAuley, RSM, of Watchung and Katherine M. McQuillan and her husband Richard F. of Columbus; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral was held Saturday at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave. in Hamilton Township.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Anthony’s Church on Olden Avenue in Hamilton Township by his brother, Msgr. Hugh F. Ronan.
Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Irene Kondash
ROEBLING Irene Kondash, 84, died Oct. 30 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Mrs. Kondash was born in Bridgeport, CT, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Duhancik. Irene resided in Trenton for 58 years before moving to Roebling 14 years ago. Mrs. Kondash was a former member of St. Mary’s of the Assumption Byzantine Catholic Church, Trenton.
Predeceased by her husband Joseph Kondash Sr., she is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Jr. and Susan Kondash of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; daughter and son-in-law, Liz and Louis Botlinger Jr. of Roebling with whom she resided; son and daughter-in-law, John and Karen Kondash of Roebling; daughter Mary Kelvy of Trenton; grandchildren and spouse, Wendy and Larry Kutcher; grandchild and fiance, Jennifer Botlinger and Joseph McCarron; grandchild and companion, Michael Botlinger and Laura Malloy; grandchild and companion, Matthew Botlinger and Meagan McGill; grandchild and companion, John Kondash and Michele Domalewski; grandchild John Wahlmeier; two sisters-in-law, Eleanor Duhancik of Connecticut and Anna Kondash of Yardville; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Ave., Roebling with the Rev. Albert Ricciardelli officiating.
Friends may call 8:30 a.m. Thursday until the time of service.
Interment will be in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Mansfield Township.

Rita M. Smith
TITUSVILLE – Rita M. Smith, 90, died Oct. 28 at the Masonic Home in Burlington.
Born in Titusville, she had resided in Titusville for many years and Southampton for 20 years. She was a secretary for the Eggomatic Corp. in Pennington for many years. She was a member of Victory Chapter #96 Order of the Eastern Star. Rita was an avid sports woman and especially enjoying bowling.
Daughter of the late William C. and Marie Schmidt Jones, wife of the late Jack K. Smith Sr., and grandmother of the late Sheri Lynn Smith, she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jack K. Jr. and Betty Jean Smith of Titusville, and Gerald G. Smith of Bordentown; four grandchildren, Cynthia Lynn Smith, Kevin Smith, Dennis Smith and his wife Melissa, and David Smith and his wife Kimberly; and two great-grandchildren, Alissa and Hunter Smith.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington, with the Rev. R. William Shaub officiating.
Burial was in the Titusville Methodist Cemetery.

Catherine Houghton
Catherine "Kitty" Houghton, 92, of Maple Shade, died Oct. 16 in Sterling Manor Nursing Center, Maple Shade.
Ms. Houghton was born in Trenton, she is the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Close Fedczko.
She resided in Roebling most of her life before moving to Maple Shade 12 years ago.
Wife of the late William J. Houghton and mother of the late William F. Houghton, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Paul C. and Helen Houghton of Clayton, N.C.; four grandchildren and spouses, Tracy and Bill Kopco, Paul and Tammy Houghton, Sonya and Anthony Hollowell and Pamela and Phillip Knott; nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
