Anthony Fireman

   PITTSBURGH — Anthony F. Fireman, of Pittsburgh, Pa., a native of Bucks County, died Oct. 22 after a brief illness.
   Born in Doylestown, Mr. Fireman was a resident of Pittsburgh.
   In June 2000, he retired from U.S. Steel where he was in charge of shareholders services. His 37-year career with the company began in Morrisville, Pa.
   He was two-term president of Shareholder Services, formerly known as CTA.
   He was a peacetime veteran of the Army.
   Mr. Fireman was a graduate of the University of Virginia where he was a resident of the Lawn.
   He was a member of MENSA and Intertel.
   He was the widower of Noreen.
   Surviving are a brother, Peter F. Fireman of Solebury and nieces and nephews.
   Memorial services were private.
   Memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Andrew Vartanian

   NEW HOPE — Andrew Vartanian, 74, of New Hope died Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Doylestown (Pa.) Hospital.
   Born in Forest Hills, N.Y., Mr. Vartanian was a resident of the Lambertville-New Hope area for more than 30 years.
   With his wife, Patricia, he owned and operated Vartanian’s Antiques in Lambertville from 1975 to 1995. The Vartanians specialized in Oriental rugs, English and American furniture and clocks.
   He was a graduate of the School of Business at New York University.
   A veteran of the Korean War, he served with the Army.
   Mr. Vartanian was a member of the Young Men’s Athletic Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, both in Lambertville.
   He was the son of the late Aram and Adrienne Beylerian Vartanian and brother of the late Edward and Henry Vartanian.
   He is survived by his wife.
   Funeral services were held Monday at the Armenian Church of the Holy Martyrs in Queens, N.Y. Burial followed at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Queens.
   Arrangements were under the direction of the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, Lambertville. VFW services were held Sunday evening.

Lorraine Orland

   PENNINGTON — Lorraine G. Orland, 83, of Pennington died Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Greenwood House.
   Born and raised in Lambertville, she was a former resident of Trenton and Ewing Township.
   Mrs. Orland attended Rider College.
   She and her late husband, Harold G. Orland, were proprietors of the former Harold’s Men’s Store in Lambertville for more than 30 years before retiring.
   She was the daughter of the late Morris and Tillie Finkle.
   Surviving are a daughter, Margo A. Orland and her partner, Nancy Levenson, of Lewes, Del.; a son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Marilyn Orland of Pennington; a sister, Phyllis Scharf of Nanuet, N.Y.; and three grandsons, Michael, Brian and Max Orland.
   Funeral services and burial were private.
   Memorial donations may be made to any charity.
   Arrangements were under the direction of Orland’s Ewing memorial Chapel, Trenton.
Emma Stults

   SANTA FE, N.M. — Emma Chamberlin Forman Stults, 86, of Santa Fe, N.M., died Oct. 17.
   Born in Elizabeth, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Archibald and Rebecca Forman.
   She graduated from Abraham Clark High School in Roselle, N.J. where she sang in the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Choir.
   She was a member of the Aaron Clark Chapter of Children of the American Revolution and the Abraham Clark Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Later, she was a longtime member of the Frances Hopkinson Chapter of the DAR until her death.
   Prior to her military service, she worked as a Kelly Girl in Central New Jersey and with her father at Esso Standard Oil Co.
   She also worked at Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company in Newark.
   She served in World War II as a WAVE in the Navy from 19644 to 1946, typing war papers in Washington, D.C.
   After her marriage in 1947, she spent most of her life on the 33-acre family farm in Cranbury, N.J.
   She was ordained as a deacon of the First Presbyterian Church in Cranbury and served as church historian for more than 30 years.
   Since 1958, she was a member of the Cranbury Women’s Club. She was a charter member of the Cranbury Historical Museum, serving since 1967.
   She provided much of the town’s genealogy and history for the 300-year-old town.
   She produced more than 30 large photo albums of her family, tracing the history in photos and newspaper articles as early as the 18th-century, many of which are housed in the "Emma Stults Room" in the museum.
   She was the widow of William Grover Stults to whom she was married for 47 years. She was the sister of the late Robert Forman, Tom Forman and Archie Forman.
   Surviving are her sister, Margaret Schwartz of Boston; two daughters and a son-in-law, Marsha J. and William Shults of Dundee, N.Y., and Holly R. Stults of Santa Fe, N.M.; a son and daughter-in-law, Grover and Pam Stults of New Hope; four grandchildren, Peter J. Shults, Anthony J. Shults, Natalie R. Stults and Dylan L. Stults; a sister-in-law, Ruth Forman; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
   A memorial service was held Oct. 25 at the Church of Religious Science in Santa Fe.
   She was in Brainerd Cemetery in Cranbury.
   Another memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 2, at 3 p.m. at Buckingham Meeting House, followed by a covered dish reception.
June DiSalvi

   LAMBERTVILLE — June M. DiSalvi, 78, died Friday, Nov. 10, at Buckingham Valley Nursing Home.
   A lifelong resident of Lambertville, Mrs. DiSalvi was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church and its Altar & Rosary Society.
   She started the concessions stand for the Lambertville Ramblers football team and, for many years, volunteered to staff it.
   She was the daughter of the late Randall And Caroline Sands Reed, widow of Joseph "Puggy" DiSalvi and sister of the late Doris Van Horn and Peggy Stymiest.
   Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Larry Peters of Deltona, Fla., and Christi and Mickey Corpora of Palmer Township, Pa.; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Lawrence and Sharon of Buckingham, Ronald and Julie of Lambertville, Randall of Lambertville and Dino of Pittstown; eight grandchildren, Michael and his wife, Robin, Christopher, Shelley, Anthony, Joseph, Vincent, Nicholas and Erica; four great-grandchildren, Emily, Jenna, Brian and Anthony; and several nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was held Tuesday from the Garefino Funeral Home, Lambertville. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at the church. Burial was private.

Cornelia van der Lee

   WEST WINDSOR — Cornelia van der Lee, 65, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Capital Health System at Mercer in Trenton.
   Born in Indonesia, she resided in the Princeton area for the past 43 years.
   Ms. van der Lee retired in 2003 after 35 years as an executive vice president of Princeton Microfilm in Princeton Junction.
   Daughter of the late Frans Christaan and Helena C. Koster van der Lee, she is survived by two brothers, Frans van der Lee of North Carolina and Willem van der Lee of Hawaii; two sisters, Nicolette Porrenga of Netherlands and Torie van der Lee of Lambertville; and several nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was private.
