Appreciation
for haunted help
To the editor:
I would like to say thanks to all those folks who volunteered their time with the 2006 Dardani Haunted Trail & Hayride.
We have been haunting the woods for the past 10 years, and never in the history of this event did we have to deal with rain until this year. But despite Mother Nature’s plan, kudos to those who toughed it out in the soaking conditions and cold. Because of you, we still managed to raise more than $14,000.
From the Haunted Trail: $2,000 to Amanda Callagy (Sandhoff’s disease), $2,000 to Ryan White (muscular dystrophy), $2,000 to Roxanne Guznam (car accident victim, former SBHS graduate), $500 to Kendall Park First Aid Squad and $250 to VFW Post 9111.
From the Haunted Hayride: $5,558.33 to Project Graduation, $500 to PBA Local 166, $500 to South Brunswick FOP and $1,000 to South Brunswick Lions Club.
Special thanks must be given to the continued help and support of CH Excavating, South Brunswick Contracting, Catalpa Farms and Madden’s Nursery for providing haycarts, tractors, hay and drivers for the hayride; Reilly’s Collision; Active Imprints for advertisement; Kendall Park First Aid Squad for continued help and support; Kendall Park Fire Company for covering our bonfire; township police; Monmouth Mobile Homes; South Brunswick Lions Club and, of course, township Recreation.
Another round of thanks for our corporate sponsors, who were very generous to help support our event this year. Brad Benson Mitsubishi, Rider Furniture, Hambro & Mitchell, Attorneys at Law, Bandito’s, numbersonly, Local Yellow Pages, Cruise One of South Brunswick, Children First Preschool, Wine Gallery, Vandermark Plumbing & Heating and Stop & Shop.
