Margaret G. Tomlinson

   WILLINGBORO — Margaret G. (Minah) Tomlinson, 83, died Monday at Lourdes Hospital in Willingboro.
   Born in Philadelphia, Pa., she resided in Fallsington, Pa. for many years before moving to Florence 35 years ago.
   She was an avid reader, loved cats, enjoyed watching attorney shows on TV and had an excellent memory which enabled her to reminisce about many past events over the years.
   Daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth Black Tomlinson, she is survived by two sisters, M. Claire Harding of Florence and Janet and Bob Ellis of Oakland, Maine. She was aunt to Stephen (Lori) Ellis of Warwick, N.Y., Robert (Laura) Ellis of South Portland, Maine, and Elizabeth (Dan) Muehl of Stow, Mass. and great-aunt to Courtney, Delaney and Clayton Muehl, and Michael, Zachary, Tomlinson, Clara and James Ellis.
   Funeral services were held Wednesday at The Dennison Funeral Home, 214 W. Front St., Florence.
   Interment was in Forest Hills Cemetery, Philadelphia.
Helen Angelini

   FLORENCE — Helen Angelini (nee Valosen), 91, of Florence, died Sunday at Marcella Nursing Center.
   Born in Bristol, Pa., she lived in Burlington before moving to Florence 65 years ago. She was a member of St. Clare’s Church in Florence and its Altar Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Marconi Italian Lodge Ladies Auxiliary, and enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
   Wife of the late Olderigo (Shine) Angelini, she is survived by a son, James P. Angelini of Florence; two grandchildren, James R. Angelini of Philadelphia, Pa., and Maria N. Angelini of Voorhees; and two sisters, Jean Parczyk and Katherine Valosen, both of Burlington.
   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held today, Thursday, at 11 a.m. at St. Clare’s Church, East Front and Walnut Streets, Florence, with the Rev. Felix F. Venza, pastor, officiating.
   Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Florence.
   Relatives and friends may call Thursday morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Dennison Funeral Home, 214 W. Front St., Florence.
   Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Clare’s Church Improvement Fund, 232 E. Front St., Florence, NJ 08518.
Edwin E. Baker

   QUAKERTOWN, Pa. — Edwin E. "Whitey" Baker Sr., 78, formerly of Bruceton Mills, W.V., died Sunday in St. Luke’s Quakertown Hospital.
   Born in Edenton, N.C., he was the son of the late James Richard and Bessie (Perry) Baker.
   He retired in 1977 from the American Bridge Division of the former U.S. Steel in Trenton. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
   He was predeceased by a son, Edwin R. "Buddy" Baker Jr., who died in June, three sisters, Josephine, Beulah and Gertrude, and two brothers, William and James, and is survived by a son, Thomas and his wife April of Quakertown, Pa.; a daughter, Barbara, wife of John Sutterlin of Bordentown; two grandchildren, Rachel Joyce Baker and James Edwin Baker; his former wife Rachel; and many nieces and nephews.
   Memorial services were held Wednesday at the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home Inc., 821 W. Broad St., Quakertown, Pa.

Philip J. Fagans

   HAMILTON TOWNSHIP — Philip J. Fagans, 38, died Nov. 8 at Capital Health System, Fuld Campus, due to injuries sustained in an accident.
   Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
   He was a contractor with Villella & Son Contracting in Ewing. He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School class of 1986 and High Point University, High Point, N.C., where he served as secretary of the Theta Chi Fraternity. He was an avid sports fan and played pool in different Trenton area leagues.
   Predeceased by his maternal grandfather, the late John A. Green, and his paternal grandfather, the late Carlton P. Fagans, he is survived by his mother, with whom he lived, Marianne Fagans of Hamilton; his father and stepmother Philip H. and Susan C. Fagans of Ambler, Pa.; his maternal grandmother Sheila Green of Titusville; his paternal grandmother Grace M. Fagans of Princeton; two stepsisters, Jennifer L. and her husband Dennis Casey of Skippack, Pa. and Rebecca L. and her husband Kris Frantzen of Gilbertsville, Pa.; his special great-aunt, Kay Wargon of Titusville; an aunt and two uncles, Linda and Joseph Landree of Bordentown and Carlton P. Fagans Jr. of Florida; and many cousins and many friends.
   Funeral services were Wednesday at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave., Ewing. Msgr. James Innocenzi, pastor of St. George Church, will officiate.
   Burial will be in Ewing Cemetery.

Sherman H. Gable

   COLUMBUS — Sherman H. Gable, formerly of Columbus, died Nov. 6.
   He was born in Portage, Pa., the son of the late Paul and Hilda Wright Gable. He was employed by Stokes Molded Products for over 23 years; 10 years at DAP Corp. and 20 years at NWL Transformers.
   He enjoyed photographer, bird watching, and all aspects of nature, and enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, Miranda.
   Predeceased by his sister, Joyce Sinclair, he is survived by his wife, Susan Gable of Columbus; a daughter, Melissa Gable of Austin, Texas; son Sean Gable and his wife Michelle of Columbus; son Dale Bryant of Wrightstown; 3 brothers, Paul Gable of Levittown, Pa., Stewart Gable of Philadelphia, Pa., and John Burkett and his wife Ann of Bigelow, Ark.; granddaughter Miranda of Columbus, and 5 nieces and 5 nephews.
   Memorial services were held Nov. 11 from the Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown.

James J. Tierney

   WHITING — James J. Tierney, 79, formerly of Hamilton Township, died Nov. 1 at Community Medical Center, Toms River after a lengthy illness.
   Born in Cahernageeha, Tuam, County Galway, Ireland, he came to this country in 1948 and lived most of his life in the Trenton-Hamilton Township area.
   He enlisted in the U. S. Army in 1951 and served as a P.F.C. during the Korean Conflict. He was employed at the General Motors plant in Ewing for many years and was the supervisor of the tool crib. Mr. Tierney was very active in civic and fraternal activities and was a member of many organizations and an officer of several. He was a longtime member of the Catholic War Veterans of Trenton, the Disabled American Veterans, from whom he received the Commander’s Club Bronze Leader Award in 1999, the United Auto Workers Union, the Glen-Aires of Whiting, the Brunswick Shamrock Club and he was one of the founders of The Sons and Daughters of Erin. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Anne Seton Roman Catholic Church in Whiting.
   Mr. Tierney was proud of his many years of membership in the Ancient Order of Hibernians, being a member of Monsignor Crean Division One from 1955 until 1980. He is remembered for starting the building fund that led to the purchase of the land on Kuser Road and served as the first president of the Hibernian Foundation Corporation.
   Son of the late Martin and Mary Long Tierney, he is survived by his wife, Maura K. Tierney; ten brothers and sisters, Sister Margaret Tierney, a Carmelite nun stationed in Egypt, Father Peter Tierney stationed in South Korea, Michael, Bridie, Nora, Kathleen, Theresa, Noel, Sean and Anne Tierney, all in Ireland; three daughters, Maureen Welsh and husband Paul and Kathleen Poinsett and husband James, all of Hamilton Township and Siobhan Costantini of Bordentown; three step-daughters, Kathleen Geraghty of North Jersey, Margaret Brozyna and husband John of Jackson, and Tricia Cottrell and husband Dan of Freehold; seven grandchildren, Sarah and Paula Welsh, Elizabeth, Robert and Anthony Costantini, James and Christopher and his wife Sarah Poinsett; one great-granddaughter, Kayla Poinsett; seven step-grandchildren, Todd, Wade and Daniel Taylor, Danny and Dylan Cottrell and Kayla and Ken Brozyna and many nieces and nephews in Ireland.
   The funeral was held Nov. 8 from the Joseph P. Horan Funeral Home, 432 Hamilton Ave., Trenton.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church in Hamilton Square.
   Interment was in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Arneytown.
