Anthony J. Barrese, 80, of Monroe, died Monday, Nov. 13, at his home.
Born in New York City, Mr. Barrese lived in Bronxville and Yonkers, N.Y., before moving to Rossmoor in 1992. Mr. Barrese was employed for more than 40 years with Addressograph-Multigraph of East Hanover, retiring in 1991 as manager.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Barrese was a member of the Bronx Club at Rossmoor and a part-time proofreader for the Rossmoor News.
His wife, Blanca Iris Barrese, died in 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Adrienne Byrne of Tokyo; three brothers, Dominic of Staten Island, N.Y., Joseph of Pleasantville, N.Y., and Rocco of Wichita, Kan.; a sister, Pauline Barrese of Yonkers, N.Y.; and two granddaughters.
A funeral liturgy will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at Nativity of Our Lord R.C. Church, Monroe. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Lester Memorial Home, 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg.
