The Historical Society of Princeton will present four distinguished scholars in a free reading and panel discussion on "Lincoln’s Suspension of Habeas Corpus: Citizenship in the Civil War," on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m. in the Computer Science Building Auditorium, which is located near Olden Street on the Princeton University campus.
Speaking will be James M. McPherson, George Henry Davis 1886 Professor of American History at Princeton University, emeritus; Mark Neely, McCabe Greer Professor in the American Civil War Era at Penn State University; Robert P. George, McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence at Princeton University, and Mark S. Weiner, Associate Professor of Law at Rutgers School of Law, Newark.
