Frank P. Klevze, 83, died at Morris Hall, Lawrenceville, on Sunday.
Born in Spodnja Kostrivinica, Yugoslavia, he was a veteran of World War II during which he fought against Nazi Germany as a member of the underground, until he was captured and kept as a POW in 1945.
Mr. Klevze immigrated to the United States in 1949 and settled in Hopewell, where he operated St. Michael’s Orphanage farm until 1998. Mr. Klevze was employed by FCA in Hopewell until 1961 and later by Agway in Clinton.
He was a longtime member of St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church in Hopewell.
Preceded in death in 2005 by his wife of 51 years, Catherine M. Klevze, he is survived by nine children, Richard and Debra Klevze, Kathy and Mark DiGaetano, Jane McComas, Sandra and John Clute, Christine and Michael Hart, Nancy and Larry Simon, Joanne and John Dwyer, Debra and Donald Cornelius, and Kelly and John Finnegan; and 20 grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church. East Prospect Street and Princeton Avenue, Hopewell.
Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Cromwell-Immordino Memorial Home, 71 E. Prospect St., Hopewell.
