Princeton HealthCare System’s certificate of need application a document seeking state approval for the University Medical Center at Princeton’s proposed move to Plainsboro has been deemed complete by the state Department of Health and Senior Services and a public hearing should be scheduled next month.
The application was submitted in December 2005.
Word of the ruling that it has been deemed complete came Monday, hospital officials said. The final application review will be Jan. 4, Princeton HealthCare System President and Chief Executive Officer Barry Rabner said in a prepared statement.
A final decision by the commissioner of health, he added, will take place within 120 days of that date.
"We look forward to the public hearing so we can continue to share information about our relocation and how it would be in the best interests of the people we serve," Mr. Rabner said. "We are moving to the center of our service area where we will develop an extraordinary, state-of-the-art healthcare facility."
Mr. Rabner also said the hospital would have its first public meeting before Plainsboro’s Planning Board on Dec. 4.
