Abraham Said
MANCHESTER Abraham Said died Nov. 15 of natural causes due to a stroke, after suffering from Parkinson’s disease for 10 years.
Born in Palestine in 1924, he lived in Manchester the past three years. Before that, he was a resident of East Windsor for 32 years.
Mr. Said served as elder, deacon and Sunday School teacher for the First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown. He was past master of the Damascus Masonic Lodge in Brooklyn, NY.
He retired from Bankers Trust Company, New York City, after serving 40 years as executive vice president of International Commercial Lending.
Mr. Said served from 1945 to 1947 in the U.S. Army in Germany and several locations throughout Europe. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Peggy; children Douglas Said of Manchester and Denise Bedell of Marietta, Ga.; grandchildren Claire, Benjamin and Zoe; brother Charles; and sister Dorothy.
A funeral service was held Nov. 20 at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, Manchester.
Burial was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.

Rosalyn B. Bruno
MONROE TOWNSHIP Rosalyn B. Bruno, 89, died Nov. 17 at the Monroe Village Health Care Center.
Born in Newark, she formerly lived in Clearbrook for 17 years before moving to Monroe Village about three years ago. While living in Clearbrook, she was a member of the Italian American Club and ORT.
Wife of the late Walter Bruno, she is survived by daughter Gail Bruno; and granddaughter Kara Bruno of East Windsor.
A memorial service was held at the A.S. Cole Funeral Home, Cranbury.
Interment was private.

Victoria Zayat
HIGHTSTOWN Victoria Zayat, 83, of Hightstown and formerly of Leonia and Juno Beach, Fla., died Oct. 12.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., she graduated from Packer Collegiate Institute and attended New York University and Columbia University. Before retiring, she worked as an editor for Grolier and Abelard Shuman Publishers. After retiring she won several awards for her poetry, short stories and photography including several National Writers awards. Ms. Zayat also devoted a great deal of time to reading to hospitalized children and to volunteering with organizations such as Recording for the Blind.
Predeceased by her husband, Arthur, her brother, Theodore, and her twin brother, Victor, she is survived by daughter and son-in-law Catherine and Bill Reeves; son and daughter-in-law Arthur and Terri Zayat; son Albert Zayat; grandchildren Elizabeth Brent, Bill Reeves Jr., Douglas Zayat, Christie Zayat, Demetria Zayat and Victoria Zayat; and great granddaughters Genevieve and Emme Brent.
