Carl Szymanski

   POTTSTOWN, Pa. — Carl Stanley Szymanski died Nov. 25 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center in Pottstown. He was 66.
   Born and raised in Manville, N.J., he lived there for 60 years, before moving to Pennsylvania.
   Mr. Szymanski held various positions in the care of animals and farm work.
   He was a member of the first graduating class from Manville High School in 1958.
   He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1960.
   He was particularly adept at the use of the kayak, he enjoyed all music playing the guitar and harmonica. He also was an artist and received many awards for his drawings.
   He was a member of various Veterans groups as well as the Catholic War Veterans.
   He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville.
   He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony R. and Katherine Szymanski ; a sister, Veronica Yarnall; and a niece, Ester Szymanski.
   Survivors include two sisters, Irene Dunsavage of Maplewood, N.J., and Catherine Szymanski of Columbus, N.J.; two brothers, Thomas of Readington Township, N.J., and Anthony of Branchburg, N.J.; several nieces and nephews; and several grand nephews and nieces.
   Funeral services were conducted Nov. 29 from Ketusky Funeral Home in Manville, followed by a Mass at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough, N.J.
