Irene Kolachik

   EAST WINDSOR — Irene Kolachik, 79, died Nov. 24 in the Cranbury Center Genesis Elder Care facility, Monroe Township.
   Born in Yonkers, N.Y., she lived in the East Windsor area for many years.
   She was involved with the Senior Center of East Windsor, where she enjoyed bingo and other activities.
   Predeceased by her husband, Alexander Kolachik, and son Robert Kolachik, she is survived by two grandchildren, Lauren and Darren Kolachik of California.
   Private entombment was held at the Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, N.Y.
   Arrangements were handled by Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, Hightstown.
Halyna and Nick Shevchuk

   HAMILTON — Halyna and Nick Shevchuk of Hamilton Township died Sunday. Halyna was 69 and Nick was 75. They were married for 52 years.
   Born in Ukraine and having moved to the United States 50 years ago, they lived in Hamilton Township for 45 years.
   They were founding members of the First Ukrainian Baptist Church of Levittown (Pa.). Mr. Shevchuk was a deacon at the church and enjoyed fishing. Mrs. Shevchuk enjoyed baking.
   They are survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Kathleen Shevchuk of Manlius, N.Y.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Elena and Michael D’Anna of Hannibal, N.Y., and Natalie Shevchuk of East Windsor; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
   Mrs. Shevchuk was the daughter of the late Priska Kurchenko Dereka and is also survived by her father Igor Dereka of Trenton, and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mykola and Olga Dereka of Columbus and Wasyl and Alexis Dereka of Hamilton Township. Mr. Shevchuk was the son of the late Ivan and Anna Romanchuk Shevchuk and is also survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Anna and Clifford Robbins of East Windsor and Alena and Richard Mount of Hamilton Township, and a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Karen Shevchuk of Ringoes.
   Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Ukrainian Evangelical Baptist Church of Levittown, 3001 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, Pa., with the Rev. Avdiy Chripczuk officiating.
   Friends may call 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the church. Evening services will be at 8 p.m. following the calling hours.
   Interment will be in Morrisville Cemetery, Morrisville, Pa.
   Arrangements are under the direction of Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, Roebling.
   Memorial contributions may be made to the Orphan and Widow Fund of First Ukrainian Evangelical Baptist Church.
Fay Ettman

   THE BRONX, N.Y. — Fay Ettman, 88, died at her home Nov. 16.
   Born in New York City, she graduated from Hunter College and received two master’s degrees. She was a lifelong teacher, continuing to teach until the age of 87.
   Wife of the late Sidney Ettman, she is survived by her children, Philip and wife Marilyn of Avon, Conn., Bruce and wife Susan of East Windsor, and Alan of the Bronx, N.Y.; and grandchildren, Glenn, Rob and Leah.
   Services were held Nov. 20 at Riverside Chapel, Manhattan, N.Y. Interment was in Sharon Gardens, Valhalla, N.Y.
