William Robinson

   William W. Robinson, 97, of Cranbury, died Nov. 23, at the Hospice of Austin, Christopher House, Austin, Texas.
   Born in Trenton in 1909 he was a resident of Cranbury for the past 50 years. Mr. Robinson was a graduate of New Brunswick High School, and was drafted during World War II to serve in the U.S. Navy where he earned the rank of Storekeeper 2nd Class. He was employed with PSE&G and Johnson and Johnson, both of New Brunswick, working in their accounting departments for many years. Later, he sold mutual funds, an emerging concept in investing, with First Investors Corporation.
   For the better part of 20 years, Mr. Robinson was the primary caregiver for his wife Olive, who suffered from Rheumatoid Arthritis. On Election Day, he manned the voting sites for many years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cranbury, the Lion’s Club of Cranbury, and F&AM Palestine Lodge No. 111. His hobbies included flying, investing, photography and gardening.
   Two wives, Dorothy Crystal Helms Robinson and Olive Claire Crenning Robinson, are deceased. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jane and James Minson of Georgetown, Texas; his twin brother, Theodore Robinson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sisters-in-law, Gladys Bornmann of Westfield and Ruth Tindall of Monroe; two granddaughters and their husbands, Christine and Stephen Tolson of Peoria, Ariz., and Michelle and James Canning of Austin, Texas; his three great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Dexter and Murphy; and nieces and nephews.
   A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Dec. 2, at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Cranbury with the Rev. Dr. Louis Mitchell officiating. Interment will be in the Allentown United Methodist Church Cemetery, Allentown, N.J. There will be no calling hours.
