The Long Branch-based Holy Trinity Church on Prospect Street is hosting social/ballroom dances on the third Saturday of each month. The next dance will take place Dec. 16 from 8 to 11 p.m. in the parish hall. Singles and couples of all ages are invited to attend. Admission is $10, $8 for senior citizens.

The Italian American Memorial Association of Long Branch will host its annual breakfast with Santa 9-11:30 a.m. Dec. 17 at its West End Avenue location.

The Firefighters Fund and Sports Entertainment Group Inc. will bring National Wrestling Superstars pro wrestling to the Seashore Gym on Broadway in Long Branch on Dec. 29 at 7:45 p.m. for a holiday week benefit show. The show will feature two former WWE superstars and several local favorites heading up an eight-man tag team. Tickets are $17 for adults and $15 for children and seniors. Proceeds will benefit the Disabled Firefighters Fund.

Laura T. Jannone, assistant professor and coordinator of the School Nurse Program at Monmouth University’s Marjorie K. Unterberg School of Nursing and Health Studies, received the Distinguished School Nurse Alumni Award. The award is given by the College of Professional Studies, the Health Science Department and the Alumni Relations Office of New Jersey City University. Jannone, Red Bank, established Monmouth’s School of Nursing program in 2000.
