Princeton Animal Shelter to benefit from efforts

The South Brunswick Animal Hospital on Georges Road is collecting pet supplies and cleaning products for the SAVE Animal Shelter in Princeton.
Melinda DeAugustines, the animal hospital’s office manager, said that they are collecting, Milk Bone dog biscuits, canned dog and cat food, cat litter, dog leashes, paper towels, sponges, dish soap, antibacterial hand soap, 13 gallon garbage bags sheets and towels.
"The most helpful items are the cat littler, food and toys," Ms. DeAugustines said. "And the additional supplies for the people that work there are helpful, but it’s more so about the stuff for the animals."
SAVE has been using the South Brunswick Animal Hospital during the past year to get its animals spayed and neutered and for health visits, said Ms. DeAugustines.
"This is all the brainstorm of one of our techs to do this," Ms. DeAugustines said. "And we wanted to donate to them and this is the stuff they need."
The items can be brought to the hospital by Dec. 20. They will be hand delivered on Dec. 22. The items can be dropped off regular business hours, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. the South Brunswick Animal Hospital is located at 879 Georges Road.
Anyone with questions can call the animal hospital at (732) 821-0040.
