Poinsettia and wreath sale

   Thursday, Dec. 7 to Saturday, Dec. 9 — Consolidated Fire Association, Crosswicks Street, will be having a poinsettia and wreath sale. Poinsettas range in size from 4 inches to 7 inches and prices range from $5 to $14. Wreaths will be $7 and $10 and hanging baskets will be $15. For more information please call (609) 298-6862.
Christmas spectacular

   Saturday, Dec. 9 — The Fountain of Life Center, 2035 Columbus Road, Florence, will hold its annual presentation of "A Christmas Spectacular" at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Dec. 9, 8 p.m. on Dec. 15, 1 and 7 p.m. on Dec. 16, 2 and 7 p.m. on Dec. 17 and 8 p.m. on Dec. 18.
   Dancing toys "come alive," marching toy soldiers, the nativity story, and music, drama, and spectacular set designs make this event enjoyable for the whole family.

Holiday bazaar

   Saturday, Dec. 9 — The PTA of the Florence Township Elementary Schools will hold a Holiday Bazaar and Make-A-Gift from 9 a.m. to noon at the school. Kids can have fun making gifts for their family and friends while you come shopping for your holiday gifts. The guaranteed snow date is Dec. 16.

Christmas house tour

   Sunday, Dec. 10 — The Roebling Historical Society will hold its Historic Village of Roebling Christmas House Tour from 3 to 7 p.m. The tour will feature homes built by John A. Roebling’s Sons Co. Tickets are $12 or $10 in advance. A limited number of guided tour tickets are available for $18 and must be purchased in advance.

Garden club Christmas party

   Sunday, Dec. 10 — The Florence Garden Club will hold its annual Christmas Party at 3 p.m. at Stella’s Restaurant on Route 130 North in Burlington. Tickets are $20 each and may be obtained by calling Dink Dittman at (609) 499-0935 or Jean Petty at (609) 499-1745. An exchange gift of $5 to 10 is optional.
School band fundraiser

   Monday, Dec. 11 — The Bordentown Regional High School Band will hold a fundraiser at the Barnes & Noble bookstore at Hamilton Marketplace. The event will run from 4 to 10 p.m. A portion of all sales (except cafe sales and gift cards) will be donated to the band. Vouchers for the event will be available at the gift-wrap table. Band members will be playing seasonal music so come out and enjoy the shopping experience.
Toys collection

   Through Wednesday, Dec. 13 — The Northern Burlington Middle School’s Future Farmers of America are collecting toys for Doorway to Hope, a women’s shelter in Trenton. There are currently 13 families living at the shelter. The FFA also collects household items such as dishes and linens as well as clothing items.

MOMS Club

   Thursday, Dec. 14 — MOMS Club will hold a meeting at 9 a.m. Come to meet with other stay-at-home or part-time working moms in the community. Tot Shabbat

   Tuesday, Dec. 15 — Temple B’Nai Abraham of Bordentown will host a Tot Shabbat Hanukkah Celebration from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at 58 Crosswicks St. The festivities are open to all children, ages 1 to 6 and their families. Join us for our candle lighting, potluck dinner, child-friendly service, and Hanukkah story and craft. Admission is free, RSVP required. Blood drive

   Friday, Dec. 15 — St. Mary’s School in Bordentown City is sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the second floor of the parish center at the St. Mary’s Church Rectory on Crosswicks Street.

Astrology discussion

   Friday, Dec. 15 — Central New Jersey writer and arts reporter Susan Van Dongen will host an astrology discussion and book signing and will do birth charts for selected participants at 6:30 p.m. at the Old Book Shop at of Bordentown, 200 Farnsworth Ave.
   Writing under the pen name "Gwyneth Bryan," she recently authored the book "Houses: A Contemporary Guide" (Llewellyn Publications, $14.95), a modern look at house-based astrology. Trinity’s Treasures

   Friday, Dec. 15 and Saturday, Dec. 16 — Trinity United Methodist Church, located on the second floor of 339 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown, will hold a sale of pre-loved items from 9 a.m. to noon.
FurBall Cocktail Party

   Saturday, Dec. 16 — The Burlington County Animal Alliance of NJ will host the 2006 FurBall Cocktail Party from 6 p.m. to midnight at Washington Hall in Bristol, Pa.
   Cocktails, Hors d’oeuvres, beverages and dessert will be served all night, along with music. The ticket, which costs $30, will give you a free chance at winning one of the many beautiful door prizes. We will also have other items available for purchase.
   Tickets can be purchased until Friday, Dec. 8. All proceeds go to BCCA, a non-profit organization benefiting the homeless animals in the state and surrounding areas.

Meet Santa

   Saturday, Dec. 16 — The Victory Worship Center will sponsor "Come Meet Santa! Christmas Celebration" from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Bordentown Township Community Center, 3 Municipal Drive, Bordentown Township. There will be a clown doing face painting, Christmas cookies, a table to decorate Christmas tree ornaments and a Christmas coloring contest.

Food and toy drive

   Through Wednesday, Dec. 20 — The Student Council of Florence High School will hold its annual holiday food and toy drive. The program aids families in need in the Florence Townhsip community. Donations of non-perishable food items, new and gently used toys, and new and gently used clothing are currently being accepted. All donations must be received by Dec. 20.
