Coalition plans Palmer Square peace vigil for Tuesday

The Princeton-based Coalition for Peace Action will hold its annual Candlelight Vigil for Peace 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Palmer Square in Princeton.
The theme of this year’s vigil will be "Give Our Troops a Holiday Gift: Bring Them Home." Names of New Jersey troops killed in Iraq will be read as part of the vigil.
A potluck dinner and party will follow from 6 to 7 p.m. at Nassau Presbyterian Church, 61 Nassau St., directly across the street from Palmer Square. Those bringing dishes may drop them off at the church starting at 4:30 p.m. Attendees are asked not to park at the church in order that spaces remain available for church programs.
Following the potluck, from 7 to 9 p.m., a town meeting will be held to discuss possible future directions for peace organizing.
All three events — the vigil, potluck and town meeting — are free and open to the public.
