Scout touts
pedestrian safety
To the editor:
As part of my requirement for a Boy Scout merit badge, I attended the Cranbury Township Committee meeting on Nov. 13. The main reason I went was because the meeting was about pedestrian safety.
I cross Main Street and Station Road a lot and, whenever I try to cross in the crosswalk, nobody stops. When someone finally stops, another car will go around them, making it very dangerous.
It seems to me a green neon sign closer to the crosswalk would be more helpful. Where it is now is very helpful to the church.
The meeting was very long and they did not cover all the topics.
There will be another meeting to discuss Main Street traffic. I hope a lot of people come to the next meeting to give their opinion.
