Sun Bank supports United Way
Sun National Bank announced that the bank and its employees have donated $112,500 to United Way. During Sun Bank’s annual campaign day last month, employees contributed $90,000 and the bank matched with 25 percent, or $22,500.
Sun Bancorp, Inc. is a multi-state bank holding company headquartered in Vineland. Its primary subsidiary is Sun National Bank, serving customers through 80 community banking centers in southern and central New Jersey, Philadelphia, Pa. and New Castle County, Del.
JPMorgan Chase opens area office
JPMorgan Chase announced the opening of a new office at 103 College Road East in Plainsboro to serve both commercial banking customers and high net worth individuals and families.
The office’s five Chase commercial bankers will provide financial services and cash management solutions to companies with annual sales of approximately $10 million to $250 million. In addition, three advisors from JPMorgan Private Client Services will provide wealth management solutions for private clients with a net worth of more than $1 million, serving the southern New Jersey and Philadelphia regions. Chase already operates a bank branch at 16 Nassau St. in Princeton, which provides financial services for consumers and small businesses.
Pharma consultant opens in Princeton
Qforma, Inc., an advanced analytics and predictive modeling company, announced today that it has opened an office in Princeton to increase service to its pharmaceutical industry customers in New Jersey.
The Qforma office, located at 20 Nassau Street, will be managed by the company’s Senior Vice President of Business Development, Alan G. Reicheg. Prior to joining Qforma, Reicheg held senior positions in sales and marketing at Carter-Wallace, MedPointe Pharmaceuticals in Somerset, and Savient Pharmaceuticals in East Brunswick. Qforma is headquartered in Santa Fe, N.M., with offices in Boston, Mass. and Princeton.
Suite chain opens on Route 1
Homewood Suites by Hilton, a chain of all-suite, residential-style hotels, has opened a 142-suite hotel on Route 1 in Plainsboro. The hotel is owned and managed by Barclay Hospitality Services, Inc. The Homewood Suites by Hilton Princeton-area address is: 3819 U.S. 1 South The new hotel features residential-style studio, one- bedroom and two-bedroom suites. Launched in 1989, the Homewood Suites by Hilton brand today has 191 hotels open with another 120 in the pipeline.
KSS receives architecture awards
The New Jersey Chapter of the American Institute of Architects recently awarded KSS Architects the 2007 Architect of the Year and two design awards. KSS partner Allan Kehrt was named architect of the year, while the firm received an Honor Award for its Center for Academic Success at Kean University in Union, and the Merit Award for its meta Metasequoia viewing structure at the University of Pennsylvania’s Morris Arboretum in Chestnut Hill, Pa. Founded in 1983, KSS Architects is headquartered in Princeton with an office in Philadelphia.
Cranbury company wins laser contract
Cranbury-based Princeton Lightwave, Inc., a company specializing in high performance lasers and detectors, has been awarded a contract for the development of high power pump laser diodes. The two-year program is supported by $730,000 in funding from the U.S. Army.
Roma included in Nasdaq index
Roma Financial Corp., the parent company of Roma Bank, has been included in the America’s Community Bankers Nasdaq Index, ticker symbol ACBQ. America’s Community Bankers and the Nasdaq stock market launched the index in December 2003 to track the performance of the community-based banking sector and to increase the visibility of publicly traded community banks. As of December 1, 2006, the ACBN index includes 528 community banks with a total market capitalization of over $200 billion.
Roma Bank, also announced that it has received a financial safety rating of "A" or "Excellent" from TheStreet.com ratings, an independent provider of ratings and analyses of financial services companies.
