Maria Holzherr

   DELAWARE — Maria H. Holzherr, 66, died Monday, Dec. 4, at her home in Delaware Township.
   Born in Frankfurt, Germany, Mrs. Holzherr moved to the United States in 1961 and had lived in Delaware Township since 1979.
   She graduated from the College of St. Elizabeth in Morristown, N.J.
   Mrs. Holzherr was a member of St. Magdalen’s Roman Catholic Church in Flemington.
   Daughter of the late Carl and Paula Wiegel, she is survived by her husband of 45 years, George W. Holzherr; and one sister, Seglinda Gwendell of Frankfurt.
   The funeral was held Dec. 7 from the Garefino Funeral Home, Lambertville. Committal services and entombment were conducted at the church.
Nicholas Gaspari

   WEST AMWELL — Nicholas Gaspari, 84, died Wednesday, Dec. 6, at home.
   Born and raised in Lambertville, Mr. Gaspari had lived in West Amwell since 1960.
   He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Lambertville.
   He was a self-employed painter and furniture restorer.
   Mr. Gaspari was one of the founding members and first president of the Young Men’s Athletic Club in Lambertville.
   He was the son of the late Giuseppe and Anna Santilli Gaspari and brother of the late Bernard Gaspari.
   Surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Joseph Inserra of West Amwell; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dominic and Althea Gaspari and Albert and Mary Lou Gaspari, all of Lambertville; and several nieces and nephews.
   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held today (Dec. 14) at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
   Memorial donations may be made to Hunterdon Hospice, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, 08822, or the church at 44 Bridge St., Lambertville, 08530.
