Tours Ft. Monmouth scheduled

The Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Planning Authority (FMERPA) in conjunction with the Fort Monmouth Garrison Commander’s Office will conduct a series of tours of the fort property over the next 10 weeks.

Individuals who have expressed an interest in a tour of the fort who are representatives of their organizations, or entities from the public and private sectors who qualify under the tour categories, can register by contacting Kathryn Verrochi at the FMERPA office, (732) 982-8525, or by completing sign-up sheets at the next FMERPA meeting, scheduled for Dec. 20 at 7 p.m. at the Eatontown Municipal Building

The sequence of upcoming tours that have been scheduled are: Jan. 17, interested citizens; Jan. 23, veterans’ groups; Jan. 24, academia. K-12/votech; Jan. 25, developers, local and nonlocal; Jan. 30, colleges/universities; Feb. 13, social services/religious nonprofits; March 7, environmental groups; media tour date to be determined.

In order to facilitate the needs of the Garrison transportation and security requirements, prospective tour participants must submit their requests and all other required paperwork to the FMERPA office at least 10 days before the date of the tour, or that request will be denied.

All tours are scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. and end by 11:30 a.m.
