Elizabeth Estabrooke
Elizabeth Doris Mahoney Estabrooke, of Lawrence, died Dec. 13 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton. She was 75.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Estabrooke was a former member of St. Vincent DePaul Church in Yardville.
Daughter of the late John and Mary Bartlett Mahoney, wife of the late Leonard J. Estabrooke, she is survived by a son and daughter in law, Del L. and Deanna Estabrooke, of Meadera, Calif.; two daughters and sons in law, Marianne (Mel) and Joseph Van Horn, of Allentown, Daria Lee and Victor Gutierrez, of Lawrence; three brothers and two sisters in law, William and Lois Mahoney, of Hamilton, Philip and Eleanor Mahoney, of Yardville, Thomas Mahoney, of Whitehorse; two sisters and brothers in law, Loretta and Joe Czako, of Bordentown, Helen and Ken Elgrim, of Cape Coral, Fla.; ten grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth, Gina Marie, and Victor Manny Gutierrez, Matthew, Alison, and Caitlin Van Horn, Ryan, Courtney, Marissa, and Cassidy Estabrooke; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Monday at the Buklad Yardville Memorial Chapel, Yardville. Burial was in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran’s Cemetery, Wrightstown.

Joseph Herron
Joseph S. Herron, of Lawrence, died Dec. 14 at Capital Health System’s Mercer Campus. He was 81.
Born in Trenton, he was a resident of Lawrence for the past 35 years.
Mr. Herron retired as a tool and die maker with General Motors of Ewing Township after 42 years.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 314 of Ewing Township. He was a member of Local 731 United Auto Workers, Credit Union of New Jersey and Trenton Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. 105. He also was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ewing.
Son of the late Dale and Miriam Powell Herron; brother of the late J. Dale Herron and Eleise M. Rhoades and brother-in-law of the late Helen Herron; he is survived by Emily Alnutt and her family, Anita Marie Thompson, Emily Cherie Morgan, Jaylynn and Madisynn Morgan and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing. There will be no calling hours.

Daniel Maciolek
Daniel A. Maciolek, of Lawrence, died Dec. 13 at home. He was 33.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Maciolek was employed as a service repairman for Princeton Fuel Oil Company. He was an avid New York Giants football fan and enjoyed music, four-wheeling, fishing and his friends.
He is survived by his mother, "Mickie" Giambelluca, of Hamilton; his father, Daniel Maciolek, of Trenton; stepfather Chuck Giambelluca, of Hamilton; sister and brother-in-law Laura and William "Bucky" Hall, of Hamilton; uncle and aunt Anthony and Jeanne Tonzini, of Hamilton; and two cousins.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Mullen Funeral Home, Trenton. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
Giovanni Mattera
PRINCETON Giovanni Mattera, of Princeton, died Dec. 13 at Princeton Care Center. He was 86.
Born in Barano D’Ischia, Italy, he came to the United States in 1947, settling in New York City. Mr. Mattera moved to Princeton in 1950 and began work at the Princeton Inn as a chef. He retired in 1985 after 29 years with Princeton University in the Department of Building Services.
Son of the late Joseph and Filomenna Mattera, brother of the late Vincenzo Mattera and Bridgetta DiMasi, he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Angelina L.; four sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Debbie, of Manalapan, John M. and Marie, of Burlington, Anthony R. and Rose Marie, of Hamilton, Mario S. and Coleen, of Lawrence; one daughter and son-in-law, Sylvana and David Acolia, of Florence; one brother and sister-in-law, Alfonso and Angelina Mattera, of Italy; seven grandchildren, Jolene, Theresa Marie, Anthony, Nicholas, Michael, Daniel and Grace Ann; and one great grandson, John.
The funeral was held Monday at The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, Princeton. Burial was in Princeton Cemetery.

Mary Schuster
TRENTON Mary Elizabeth Shuster died Dec. 12 at the Millhouse Nursing Home in Trenton. She was 84.
Mrs. Shuster was retired from Switlik Parachute Co. of Trenton. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Trenton.
Daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Jeba) Gorish and wife of the late Leonard Shuster, she was also predeceased by her brothers John, of Lawrence; Andrew, of Trenton; Stephen, of Ewing Township; Charles, of Lawrence; and sister Helen Luczyk, of Ohio. She is survived by one sister, Margaret Smajda, of Trenton; one brother, George, and his wife, Rachel, of Whiting; brother Nicholas, of Pemberton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, Hamilton. Burial followed in St. Mary of the Assumption Cemetery.
