Anne S. Van Aken, 82, of Pennington died Dec. 21.
She was a resident of Stony Brook Assisted Living.
Born in Lancaster, Pa., she was a switchboard operator for many years. Her last employment was with the Delaware Valley Water Basin Commission.
An active member of the Ewing Presbyterian Church, the Girl Scouts and her children’s PTAs, she was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Predeceased by her parents John Fred and Anna H. Frey Shoffstall and her husband of 49 years, Fred, she is survived by three daughters and son; Susan Horn, of Island Heights, Joyce Cawthon, of Grand Haven, Mich., Caran Eldridge, of Dallas, Texas, and Fred Van Aken, of Blanco, Texas; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and siblings, Carol Seymour of Florida, and Fred Shoffstall, Mary King and Wanda Mowery of Lancaster, Pa.
A private funeral service will be held on Dec. 26.
Burial will be in Ewing Church Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
