Tina Johnson has joined Oxford Communications as account executive with the Prime Retail team where she will assist in the day-to-day advertising and marketing efforts for the chain of 27 retail outlet centers and 10 malls across the country. Previously with Merrill Lynch, she has relevant agency experience at both SimStar and MarketSource.
Ms. Johnson lives with her husband and their three young children in Princeton.
Also joining the Prime Retail team is Michelle Agaccio. The Frenchtown resident, a recent graduate of Rowan University, joins as assistant account executive.
Oxford Communications provides advertising, public relations and graphic design services for clients in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and Delaware.
TECHNOLOGY
Atidan LLC, a leading provider of development and information technology consulting services, recently named Barry Engel as its new executive vice president of business development. He has more than 15 years experience in helping high technology companies grow and prosper. Previously Mr. Engel served as vice president of marketing at a marketing analytics software and services provider. His career includes building, managing and marketing e-commerce, business intelligence and knowledge management solutions in Silicon Valley.
Based in Yardley, Pa., Atidan is a software development and consulting firm focused on helping clients maximize the value of their technology investments by bringing people, processes and information together.
HEALTH & MEDICINE
Princeton HealthCare system recently announced Joseph E. Stampe has been selected as the vice president of development. He will be responsible for all fundraising activities across the system, as well as overseeing annual funds, corporate and foundation giving, special fundraising events, major giving, planned giving, donor relations, and all special fundraising campaigns, with a strong focus on the capital campaign for the hospital relocation project.
He recently served as vice president for development at the Foundation of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he oversaw all aspects of fundraising for Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
He has also held leadership positions in the fundraising programs at Fairleigh Dickinson University and Drew University.
Ellen Guarnieri has been appointed chief executive officer at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton. She will formally assume leadership of the organization on Jan, 1, 2007.
Ms. Guarnieri has been with RWJ Hamilton since January 2006. She joined the organization as vice president for new business development and later held the title of executive vice president. A nurse by training and trade, she previously served in a variety of administrative positions for Virtua Health System in Marlton from 1984 through 2005.
Christy Stephenson, who served as president and CEO of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton since 1998, and is stepping down on Jan. 1, 2007, has been elected to serve on the Robert Wood Johnson Healthcare Corp. Hamilton Board of Directors.
Power Medical Interventions Inc. announced the appointment of medical technology industry veteran Alex T. Bourdon as chief operations officer. With more than 20 years management experience, Mr. Bourdon joins PMI from Dade Behring where he held numerous leadership positions. He also has held several engineering and production positions with E.I. DuPont De Nemours & Co. including operations manager at DuPont Medical Products.
PMI is leading the development and commercialization of intelligent surgical instruments for bariatric, cardiothoracic, colorectal and general surgical applications. The company’s flagship platform, SurgASSIST, gives surgeons flexibility to deliver precise and consistent wound closure in a range of surgical applications.
Founded in 1999, PMI’s corporate headquarters are located in Langhorne, Pa.

Anupam Goradia of WithumSmith+Brown Global Assurance LLC has passed the CPA exam. He is a supervising senior consultant in the firm’s West Windsor office, where he specializes in internal audits and SOX compliance. Mr. Goradia is a resident of Somerset.

Reed Smith, announced the naming of two new partners in its Plainsboro office: Andres Liivak, a member of the life sciences transactions practice in the Business & Regulatory Department, and Gary J. Ruckelshaus, a member of the New Jersey/New York business trial practice in the Litigation Department. Mr. Ruckelshaus is a resident of Montgomery.
Christine Baker, a partner with Drinker Biddle & Reath, has been honored with a nomination to the American Bar Association House of Delegates, the policy-making body of the association. She has been nominated as a State Bar Association Delegate for New Jersey and will join 548 colleagues from across the country, who make up the entire House, and meet to discuss issues and policy at the ABA’s Mid-Year Meeting.
UTILITY
NRG Energy Inc. has named Drew Murphy as executive vice president and general counsel, and appointed John Ragan as executive vice president and regional president, Northeast. Both positions were effective December 18.
In his new role, Mr. Murphy will advise and support NRG on all legal matters relevant to the company in terms of compliance, governance and general business operations. Mr. Ragan will lead NRG’s Northeast region staff and oversee the company’s significant northeast asset portfolio, representing more than 7,000 megawatts of electricity.
Also, NRG Energy announced two leadership changes. Thad Hill has been named regional president for NRG Texas in Houston, and Steve Winn, having successfully led the integration of Texas Genco, returns to the NRG’s West Windsor headquarters as the head of strategy, environmental and new business. In his new role, Mr. Hill succeeds Mr. Winn in managing NRG’s largest regional portfolio of power generating assets, totaling over 10,500 megawatts of power in Texas. In his new role, Mr. Winn will identify opportunities to enhance NRG’s competitive position in the energy industry and increase revenue growth through synergistic acquisitions and business alliances. Winn also will continue to oversee NRG’s nuclear development efforts in Texas.
Most recently, Mr. Hill served as NRG’s executive vice president, corporate business development and strategic planning, as well as head of environmental and new business. Prior to joining NRG, he was executive vice president at Texas Genco, a position he held until Feb. 2006, when NRG acquired the company. Mr. Winn assumed the role of regional president for NRG Texas following NRG’s acquisition of Texas Genco, a transaction he spearheaded.
NRG owns and operates a diverse portfolio of power-generating facilities, primarily in Texas and the Northeast, South Central and West regions of the U.S.
HONORS
TransitCenter Inc., the nation’s leading provider of tax-free commuter benefits, transit information and assistance, announced its president and CEO Larry Filler, will be honored by New York University’s Wagner Rudin Center for Transportation Policy & Management and The Council of Transportation as part of the Annual Leadership Awards in Transportation. The awards recognize the outstanding work of individuals and agencies devoted to advancing the New York region’s transportation system.
For more than 30 years, Mr. Filler, a Princeton resident, has worked to bridge the economic realities of mass transit with the needs of employers and commuters. Under his leadership, TransitCenter, initially an interagency partnership within the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, introduced TransitChek, the nation’s first commuter benefits program, in 1987 to engage employers in encouraging more people to use mass transit to reduce traffic congestion and protect the environment.
An independent nonprofit corporation since 2001, TransitCenter today offers its TransitChek program to more than 11,000 employers and 500,000 employees nationwide.
