Katherine T. Rielly-Gauvin, vice president, sales & marketing for Janssen, LP, will serve as the honorary chair for this year’s "Night Out With NAMI," which will take place Sunday, Jan. 7, at 3 p.m., at The College of New Jersey in Ewing. NAMI Mercer is the local affiliate of the National Association on Mental Illness.
The event will feature Richard Kogan, M.D., a psychiatrist and concert pianist, in "Mozart: The Mind and the Music," followed by dinner.
Based in Titusville, Janssen is the only large pharmaceutical company in the United States dedicated solely to mental health. With Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development, L.L.C., (J&JPRD), Janssen is researching and developing new compounds for a wide range of psychiatric disorders, including psychosis, sleep, attention deficit/hyperactivity, anxiety, depression and substance abuse.
Tickets for the event are $60, concert only; $175, concert and dinner, and $200, concert stage seating and dinner.
Patrons who attend the dinner following the concert will be able to bid on unique items such as a Cape May vacation home; a golf foursome at TPC Jasna Polana; Sunday brunch for two at the Alchemist & Barrister; tickets to McCarter Theater, New Jersey Opera Theater, Paper Mill Playhouse and Trenton Thunder, and gift certificates to the Nassau Inn, Ferry House and the Princeton Symphony Orchestra.
NAMI Mercer is a nonprofit organization of families and individuals working to improve the lives of those affected by mental illness through free educational programs, a helpline, advocacy, resources and mutual support.
