Louise M. Cannon
EAST WINDSOR Louise M. Cannon, 84, died Dec. 15 in the Cranbury Center.
Born in Midway, Ariz., and formerly of Little Rock, Ark., she has lived in the Presbyterian Home since 1997.
She was a former school teacher in Arkansas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hightstown. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and playing Bingo.
Wife of the late Lester Cannon and sister of the late Margaret Haley, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and William Dassori; brothers Leon and William Tubbs; two grandchildren and their spouses, Prea and Jeff Hershberger and Colette and Steffen Jones; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were private and burial was in the family plot in Little Rock.
Arrangements were under the direction of A.S. Cole Funeral Home, Cranbury.
Evelyn Eglowitz
EAST WINDSOR Evelyn "Icky" Eglowitz, 91, died Saturday at Cranbury Center in Monroe Township.
Born in New York City, she moved to East Windsor in 1979. She was a homemaker and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City. She was a member of the St. James Place Senior Club and Pythian Sisters of New York
Wife of the late Carl Eglowitz, she is survived by daughter Susan Gurfield of East Windsor; son and daughter-in-law Richard and Eileen Eglowitz of East Windsor; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was held Tuesday at Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown.
Interment followed in Floral Park Cemetery, South Brunswick.
Frank (Kelly) Ewart
EAST WINDSOR Frank (Kelly) Ewart, 35. died suddenly Sunday.
Born in East Orange, he was a resident of Hightstown for the past 26 years.
He was employed with Randolph Shoe Repair Co. in Hightstown.
Son of the late John William Ewart Jr., stepson of the late Charles C. Wright, and brother of the late John William Ewart III; he is survived by his mother, Patricia Ewart Wright; daughter Amber Lyn Puma and her mother, Debra Puma; sister Nancy Lastra; brother James Ewart; niece Tara Bethany Ewart; many other relatives; and his extended family of VFW, Post 5700.
Memorial services will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 6 at the VFW Post 5700, 140 Dutch Neck Road, Hightstown.

Donald E. Searfoss Jr.
BURLINGTON Donald E. Searfoss Jr., 67, died Saturday in Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, Willingboro Township.
Born in Newark, he grew up in Dunellen and Irvington and was formerly a resident of East Windsor and Bordentown before moving to Burlington in 1989.
Mr. Searfoss was a Marine Corps veteran. He formerly worked for and was partners with his father-in-law, Robert Flammer, for Flammer Tree Service in Cranbury. Mr. Searfoss also had his own business doing collections and repossessions and was formerly a private investigator.
More recently, he had been affiliated with the Masonic Home of New Jersey in Burlington. He was formerly active with the U.S. Marine Corps League and a member of the Hightstown Apollo Lodge No. 41 F&AM and the Masonic Lodge of Burlington No. 32 F&AM.
Mr. Searfoss enjoyed antiquing, traveling, gardening, fishing, cooking and music.
Son of the late Donald E., Sr. and Erma Searfoss, he is survived by wife Deborah Flammer Searfoss; children Debbie L. Sozanski, Karen B. Hotham, Michelle A. Wordell, Clifford F. Robbins, Jr. , Constance L. Robbins-Nielsen, Mitchell W. Robbins and Glenn C. Robbins; sister Joan Marie McBride; brother Robert B. Searfoss; mother-in-law, Evelyn Flammer; sister-in-law Judith F. Applegate; 13 grandchildren; several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews; and his dog, Sam Too.
A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
