WOODBRIDGE – Police are looking for two males who robbed $5,400 worth of money and boxes of cigarettes at gunpoint outside of an Exxon gas station in Iselin last week.
The incident occurred between 10:30 a.m. and 10:40 a.m. on Dec. 29, police said.
The victim, an employee of LAJ Distributors, told police that he arrived at the Exxon on Oak Tree Road in order to drop off multiple boxes of cigarettes to the Tiger Mart store.
While the victim was unloading the boxes of cigarettes from his commercial van, two suspects approached him very aggressively demanding his van, keys, money and cargo, police said.
The victim said the suspects stated that they were both armed with handguns, the police report said.
The first suspect, described as an approximately 6-foot-tall white male wearing a dark-colored ski mask, a black jacket and gloves, pointed a silver-colored handgun to the victim’s head, the police report said.
Suspect one stated, “Gimme what you got … keys, money …,” the police report said.
The victim said he did not get a good description of the second suspect, but could tell that he was a male by his voice, the police report said.
Suspect two was standing behind the victim pointing the gun at the back of his head, police said.
The suspects fled the scene in a white 2004 Dodge Ram pickup truck toward Route 27, police said.
