SHAWNEE MISSION, Kan. Mary Catherine Kinnan died Thursday at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. She was 72.
She was a former Princeton resident.
She was predeceased by her husband, Morris E. "Mo" Kinnan Jr. and infant daughter Catherine F. Kinnan. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Matt and Kelly Kinnan of Lenexa, Kan.; stepson Alex P. W. Kinnan of California; stepdaughter Helenka D. Kinnan; and grandchildren Alex, Katie and Keirn Kinnan and Stephano Palmisano.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 9150 Pflumm Road, Lenexa, Kan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Long career as executive assistant
LAWRENCE Cassie Fitz died Friday at home after a long illness. She was 63.
During her more than 40-year business career, she was an executive assistant to chief executive officers at various advertising, public relations, television, automotive, legal and management companies, a state government agency and a national nonprofit, Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic, in Princeton.
Prior to her death, she was an executive assistant with MDAdvantage Insurance Co. of New Jersey, based in Lawrence.
Early in her career, she served as an officer of a professional women’s organization, a volunteer lay instructor for the Katherine Gibbs School and a volunteer tutor of minority adults for the NJ Head Start Program.
Born and raised in Passaic, she was a graduate of The Katherine Gibbs School in Montclair and the Executive Institute for Travel in Montvale. She attended Seton Hall University in Newark.
She enjoyed travel and visited 57 countries during her lifetime.
She is survived by her parents, Jennie and Casimir Fitz of Passaic.
