The Paul M. McGuire Family Health Center of Freehold recently celebrated its second anniversary with a volunteer recognition dinner at the banquet and conference center of New Beginnings Agape Christian Center, Freehold.
The clinic, which opened in Jan. 21, 2005, provides free medical care for individuals without health coverage. To date, health care has been provided to approximately 425 patients with more than 1,000 visits.
The clinic provides glaucoma, gynecology, dermatology, ophthalmology, pediatric, immunization, physicals and primary care services.

CentraState Medical Center, has received a $5,000 donation from students of St. Benedict School, Holmdel. The money was raised by middle school students as part of their Advent Project honoring Joanne Tempora, the girls’ softball coach at the school.
Tempora, who lost her battle with cancer, requested that upon her passing, donations be made to the cancer program at CentraState, where she was a patient.
Tempora’s wish was that the donations go toward the purchase of new specialty beds for the inpatient Oncology Unit.

Paul Caliendo has been named partner in the law firm of Gill & Chamas, LLC, Woodbridge.
Raised in Manalapan, Mr. Caliendo attended Manalapan High School, where he was distinguished in Whose Who in American High School Students and was awarded the Maxwell School of Citizen-ship Scholarship to Syracuse University. He graduated with a bachelor of science degree.
Mr. Caliendo attended Seton Hall Law School, where he received his Juris Doctorate. He was admitted to practice in the United States District Court, the Supreme Court of New Jersey and the Supreme Court of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1995.
Mr. Caliendo is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney. He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He resides in Monmouth County.
CentraState Healthcare Founda-tion set a new record for donations in 2006 – more than $6.2 million – after launching a $10 million capital campaign toward construction of a new 178,000-square-foot ambulatory campus.
Large donations last year included a $2.125 million donation from the Peter Jay Sharp Foundation; $300,000 from OceanFirst Foundation; $200,000 from Applewood Estates resident Arnold Verosloff in memory of his late parents; $150,000 from Commerce Bank; and $125,000 from Bartley Healthcare.
The foundation expanded its Web content and has launched a new Web site, www.CentraStateFoundation.org. The new site includes detailed information about the capital campaign and a related video, online registration for golf tourneys and other foundation fundraisers, and an interactive section on estate planning.
