Mildred McGuire

   LAMBERTVILLE — Mildred Applegate McGuire, 86, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, at Valley View Health Care Center in Frenchtown.
   Born in Bristol, Pa., Mrs. McGuire lived most of her life in Lambertville.
   She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Lambertville.
   She was the daughter of the late Harrison and Mary Applegate, widow of Thomas J. McGuire Jr., brother of the late Harrison Applegate Jr. and mother of the late Dennis W. McGuire.
   Surviving are one daughter, Carole Whitehead of East Amwell Township; one son, Thomas J. McGuire III of West Amwell Township; three sisters, Mabel Marfino of Trenton and Harriet Clark and Doris Allen, both of Florida; three grandchildren, Frank McGuire and his wife, Sherry, Shannon and Daryl McGuire Rost and Taryn Whitehead and her fiancé, Mark Krisanda; one great-grandson, Matthew McGuire; and several nieces and nephews.
   Graveside services were held at the church cemetery under the direction of the Garefino Funeral Home, Lambertville.

Margaret Henry

   FAIRLESS HILLS, Pa. — Margaret A. Fresco Henry, 89, of Fairless Hills, Pa., and Seaside Park, N.J., died Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Chandler Hall.
   Born in Lambertville, she was a longtime resident of Trenton.
   She worked as a bridal consultant for the Stacy Shop in Trenton until she retired in 1971.
   She was a member of the St. James Senior Citizens Club and the Rosary Altar Society.
   She was the widow of John E. Henry and mother of the late Patricia Ann Henry.
   Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas Henry and Michael and Mary Henry, all of Fairless Hills; two grandchildren, Michael Jr. and Ashley Henry; and three stepbrothers, George, Nicholas and Joseph Fresco.
   A life celebration was held Feb. 22 and 23 at Beck/Givnish of Lower Bucks, Levittown, Pa. A funeral mass was held at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Trenton. Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery, Trenton.

Stanley Olenick

   NEW HOPE — Stanley M. Olenick, 63, of New Hope died Thursday, Feb. 22, at Doylestown (Pa.) Hospital.
   Born in Astoria, Queens, New York, Mr. Olenick was a longtime resident of New Hope.
   He was an electrical engineer working for the Department of the Navy for 35 years, first at the Brooklyn Navy Yard and later at the Naval Air Development Center in Warminster, Pa., before retiring 12 years ago.
   A graduate of Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan, Mr. Olenick received a degree in electrical engineering from the Pratt Institute of Technology in Brooklyn.
   As a Boy Scout, he established, set the criteria and was awarded the first merit badge in personal finance.
   He held a private pilot’s license. As a sideline, he did the printing for the Raven Restaurant in New Hope.
   He was the son of the late Michael W. Olenick.
   Surviving are his mother, Estella Mazurowski Olenick of Astoria; his brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Kim Olenick of New Hyde Park, N.Y.; his aunts, Mary Wojtusiak of Middle Village, N.Y., and Stetchie Olenick of Windham, N.Y.; and his cousin and her husband, Arlene and Paul Kucan of Windham, N.Y.
   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held today (March 1) at 11 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Church in Solebury.
   Calling hours will be today from 9 a.m. until leaving for the church at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, Lambertville.
