Leslie M. Siess Jr., 82, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, in the University Medical Center at Princeton.
Born in Newark, he was a life long area resident.
He was an auditor for General Motors in Linden for 32 years, retiring in 1984. He was in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He received his master’s degree from Seton Hall University. He was a charter member of the Community Presbyterian Church of the Sand Hills in Kendall Park and sang in the choir. He was devoted to the Boy Scouts for the past 35 years. He was a life member of the VFW 9111, the LCS Landing Craft and the Tin Can Sailors.
His brother, Robert Siess, is deceased. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, June Fox Siess; a son, Kris Siess of Milford; a daughter, Jan Holly Foush of Bangor, Maine; a sister, Doris Hutchinson of Renton, Wash.; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held on Monday, Feb. 26, at The Community Presbyterian Church of the Sand Hills in Kendall Park. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery, Hillside. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kendall Park First Aid and Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 5064, Kendall Park, N.J. 08824 or a charity of the donor’s choice. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Road at New St., Monmouth Junction, N.J.
