Faith Hackl Ward
Faith Hackl Ward, 77, of Lawrenceville, formerly of Hopewell Township, died on Sunday at St. Joseph’s-Morris Hall.
Born in New York City, she was a graduate of the Spence School and Oldfields School and Bennington College in Vermont.
She received a master’s degree in education from New York University in 1956 and became an elementary school teacher.
She became a member of the Hopewell Presbyterian Church after moving from Point Pleasant Beach and Brielle following the death of her husband in 1978.
Predeceased by her parents George F. and Faith Severance Hackl, her husband Donald Hobson Ward, and a son Donald Jr. (Nonny), she is survived by a brother George C.S. Hackl; two children, George F.H. Ward and Faith Harris; a daughter-in-law, Kerri Duhamel Ward; two grandchildren, Gracen Severance Ward and James Harris; in-laws, Ann W. Hackl, Carol Tanney and Paul Ward; four nieces, Elizabeth Lurie, Diane Hackl, Yvonne Hackl and Katherine Campbell Hackl, and their children Isabella, Dylan, Emma and Sophia; and two great-grandchildren.
She also was supported by other "extended" family, including The Pennington School family, the Long family and friends and neighbors on Mountain Church Road in Hopewell Township.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Hopewell Presbyterian Church.
Private burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Brielle.

Stephen J. Arkuszewski
Stephen J. Arkuszewski, 92, of Hopewell Township died Tuesday at home.
Born in Beaver Falls, Pa., he retired after 31 years of service from the US Postal Service in Trenton and more recently the Houghton Mifflin Publishing Company in Hopewell.
He was a member of the American Radio Relay League for HAM radios and St. Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Church in Trenton.
He is survived by his wife Eva Sienkaniec Arkuszewski; a son, Stephen Arkuszewski of Ewing; a daughter, Eileen Duncan of Little Egg Harbor; a brother, Walter Arkus of Hamilton; two grandsons, James Arkuszewski of Ewing and Joseph Misiolek of New Hamphire; and several nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, Pennington Circle.
Burial will be in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Ewing.
There will be no calling hours.
