Anna Jensen

   HILLSBOROUGH — Anna Bernice Jensen died Feb. 24 at home. She was 92.
   Born in Wilkinsburg, Pa., she moved to Sweden before returning to the U.S. and lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., before relocating to Hillsborough 49 years ago.
   Mrs. Jensen served as a charge nurse in surgery at Gouveneer Hospital in New York City; and an industrial nurse at Todd Shipyard in Brooklyn. She worked as a special-education teacher in the Hillsborough, Flemington and Somerville school districts.
   After retiring, she focused her energies on writing, conducting writing clinics, and serving as a community volunteer.
   She served as the director of the Hillsborough Leisure Time Learning Center and taught writing for Hunterdon Adult Education. She also coordinated the Older and Wiser literature program for Somerset County Library.
   She was a member of "Sixty Plussers" at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Somerville.
   Her husband, William Frank Jensen, died in 1990; and a son, William, died in 1989.
   Surviving are two sons, Richard and Robert; and four grandchildren.
   A memorial service is planned at 3 p.m. March 31 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 300 Union Ave. in Somerville.
